The Week 11 waiver wire is not loaded with stars but there is potential. For many of us the fantasy football season is coming to close in the next handful of weeks. The final stretch is critical for locking up those top seeds, sneaking into the playoffs or taking out the anyone you can with your season all but over.
This is the time to lock up important handcuffs to players that may sit in Week 16 or 17. Names like Spencer Ware or Malcom Brown could seal your fantasy fate. Add them if you have flexibilty on the end of your bench.

Bye Weeks: Bills, Browns, Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, 49ers
Rashaad Penny | RB | Seattle Seahawks
Yahoo – 16%
ESPN – 13%
The breakout some of us have been hoping for finally happened on Sunday. Rookie RB Rashaad Penny broke out in a big way. Despite only seeing 12 carries, he ran for 108 yards and a TD. With Chris Carson out it was Penny who led the team in carries.
The unfortunate part for Penny is that Carson is expected to return on Thursday against Green Bay. Penny should still see work even with Carson back but not nearly enough to make you feel great about playing him.
I’m adding Penny this week but only playing him if Carson is out or desperate. He will however have a chance to be a real difference maker own the stretch especially if Carson’s hip continues to bug him.
Derrick Henry | RB |Tennessee Titans
Yahoo – 48%
ESPN – 52%
It was a great fantasy day for Derrick Henry who ran for 58 yards and 2 TDs on Sunday in the Titans impressive win over the Patriots.
Dion Lewis is still the lead back in Nashville but Henry can have value if the offense can play like they have to past two weeks. Marcus Mariota has this offense clicking. This means more plays, more red zone trips and more work for Henry as they close out games.
You will never feel great about using him but with the mess that the RB position is as a whole, he can be useful. He could also see a ton of work if something were to happen to Lewis.
Josh Adams | RB | Philadelphia Eagles
Yahoo – 13%
ESPN – 6%
The backfield continues to frustrate fantasy owners in Philadelphia but Josh Adams has a chance to be someone fantasy owners can use. He has led the team in carries for back to back weeks.
The yardage totals of 61 and 47 dont scream fantasy stud but the potential for Adams to help you down the stretch is there. Doug Pederson talked up Adams after their loss and talked about wanting to get him more work. If the clutter goes away and Adams is left standing you will have something.
Other RBs: Giovani Bernard, Elijah McGuire, Theo Riddick
Anthony Miller | WR | Chicago Bears
Yahoo – 14%
ESPN – 13%
The volume turned to production on Sunday for the Bears Anthony Miller who balled out even with the return of Allen Robinson. Miller caught 5 of his 6 targets for 122 yards and a score. This was the 4th straight week with 6 plus targets for him. It was also the 3rd TD in 5 weeks.
Going forward Miller can be an option that can help you. Mitchell Trubisky is progressing as a QB and this team is been very impressive offensively. With games coming against Minnesota, Detroit, Giants and Rams the Bears should throw plenty and Miller should do work. Add him this week!
Josh Reynolds | WR | LA Rams
Yahoo – 3%
ESPN – 1%
The past two weeks have been very quiet for Josh Reynolds and with good reason. It’s hard to envision an WR not named Woods, Cooks or Kupp getting serious work. Unfortunately for the Rams and his fantasy owners, he tore his ACL on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season.
With Kupp out, it’s Reynolds time again. He will be the third banana in this offense but QB Jared Goff has shown the willingness to spread the ball around. Reynolds also had a 2 TD performance with Kupp out against Green Bay. He should have the chance to make plays even on minimal targets.
Add Reynolds this week if you need WR help.
John Ross | WR | Cincinnati Bengals
Yahoo – 17%
ESPN – 18%
With A.J. Green out last week, Cincinnati turned to John Ross who got healthy at the right time. He saw 6 targets, catching 2 for 38 yards and a TD.
With Green expected to miss more time, Ross becomes interesting. While he won’t be racking up the catches, his big play ability makes his weekly upside very intriguing.
