NFL 2018 Week 8 Must Start IDP Players Last Minute Edition

Okay so not only are we in the seventh inning stretch portion of our NFL fantasy football leagues, but our IDP players are starting to show us who they really are.

So what are we working with in week eight of the NFL season?  Here are your IDP must start (and my sincere apologies for the last minute edition):

Jabaal Sheard, Defensive Lineman, Indianapolis Colts @ Oakland Raiders

Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game

Let’s put aside for a moment the fire sale that is happening in the city by the Bay.

Last week against the Buffalo Bills, Sheard posted an anemic two tackles and one sack.  For the season he has 22 total tackles and four sacks, with three passes defended.

But I digress, because again, this week Sheard goes against a team that has given up 15 sacks in their last four games.  Look for Sheard to get in on some of that action.

*Sheard has an injury designation…monitor his status*

Ron Parker, Defensive Back, Kansas City Chiefs v Denver Broncos

While all the talk is about how fabulous the Chiefs’ offense is and how putrid the defense is, IDP players for the Chiefs are quietly making your fantasy team relevant.

Enter defensive back Parker.

For the season Parker has 37 total tackles, two interceptions, four passes defended, and one touchdown.

In their first meeting in week four, Parker collected five tackles.  Now he will face a Broncos team on his own field that is yielding 58 points to defensive backs.  Not to mention, the game script says the Broncos will be playing from behind.

Broncos’ quarterback Case Keenum has thrown nine interceptions this season.  Look for Parker to be on the receiving end of one of those errant passes.

Josh Bynes, Linebacker, Arizona Cardinals v San Francisco 49ers

This game is unsexy in so many ways.  Bynes is bringing sexy back to the IDP fantasy player who has him in the line-up.  For the season Bynes has amassed 56 total tackles, one sack, 2.5 quarterback hurries, and two passes defended.

Now he will go up against a 49ers’ offense that has allowed 53.0 fantasy points to linebackers.  In a game that will be about the defenses, (the over/under is the lowest for the week at 41.5) Bynes is your man.

Good luck
