2016 DYNASTY IDP DL (DT/DE) TIERS

Switching things up for this season, all my IDP “rankings” will be converted into tiers, the only time you’ll see rankings is in-season during the weeks.  Depending on position the tiers could reach up to eight or ten, I will do my best to provide any insight on some tiers but if you got anything to ask; feel free to post a comment on here or twitter (@IDPwithBEE_8o8)

Let’s get to it shall we; I’ve put together eight tiers for defensive linemen (DT/DE) and not going to lie it was tough but after the studs go, there’s a bunch of upside/potential to pair together that’ll have you swinging for the fences each week.

TIER 01

• JJ Watt, DE (Texans)

TIER 02

• Robert Quinn, DE (Rams) – buy low target right now
• Ziggy Ansah, DE (Lions) – will contend to lead league in sacks
• Muhammad Wilkerson, DE (Jets)
• Olivier Vernon, DE (Giants)
• Aaron Donald, DT (Rams)
• DeMarcus Lawrence, DE (Cowboys) – 4 gm suspension looming, don’t matter – rising stud
• Everson Griffen, DE (Vikings)
• Fletcher Cox, DT (Eagles) – should continue to rack up tackles at DT 
• Carlos Dunlap, DE (Bengals)

TIER 03

• Cameron Jordan, DE (Saints)
• Cameron Heyward, DE (Steelers)
• Jabaal Sheard, DE (Patriots) – with Jones gone, big year ahead for Sheard
• Kawann Short, DE (Panthers)
• Jason Pierre-Paul, DE (Giants) – I’d like to think he’d bounce back
• Leonard Williams, DE (Jets) – rising tackling machine at the DE spot
• Calais Campbell, DE (Cardinals)
• Jurrell Casey, DE (Titans) – getting help up front
• Vic Beasley, DE (Falcons) – def a much improved season ahead
• Kony Ealy, DE (Panthers) – memorable SB performance needs to carry into 2016/2017
• Michael Bennett, DE (Seahawks)
• Malik Jackson, DE (Jaguars) – should be the man on the Jaguars line
• Ndamukong Suh, DT (Dolphins)

TIER 04

• Danielle Hunter, DE (Vikings) – one of my fav breakouts for 2016
• Mario Edwards, DE (Raiders)
• Cameron Wake, DE (Dolphins) – cheap target, if he’s on target to play get em
• Hau’oli Kikaha, DE (Saints) – increased in value with move to DE, watch his sacks increase
• Mike Daniels, DE (Packers)
• Henry Anderson, DE (Colts) – tackling machine prior to season ending injury
• Stephon Tuitt, DE (Steelers)
• DeForest Buckner, DE (49ers)
• Dante Fowler Jr, DE (Jaguars) – temper expectations 
• Noah Spence, DE (Bucs) – will lead the rookies in sacks (9), lock it up! 

TIER 05

• Vinny Curry, DE (Eagles) – arguably PHI’s best pass rusher up front
• Joey Bosa, DE (Chargers) – Justin Smith IDP Profile 
• Robert Ayers, DE (Bucs)
• Chris Jones, DE (Chiefs) – Mini Mo-Wilk
• Robert Nkemdiche, DE (Cardinals) – can be dominant in this defense
• Malcom Brown, DT (Patriots) – big year ahead, must own in DT leagues
• Corey Liuget, DE (Chargers)
• Geno Atkins, DT (Bengals)
• Marcell Dareus, DT (Bills)
• Gerald McCoy, DT (Bucs)
• Sheldon Rankins, DT (Saints)
• Derek Wolfe, DE (Broncos) – with Malik gone he has to step up now

• Devin Taylor, DE (Lions) – told y’all bout him last year, still a cheap buy

• Jonathan Bullard, DE (Bears) – should eat up tackles in Chi-town
• Akiem Hicks, DE (Bears) – which Hicks will show up? Saints? Patriots one?

• Brandon Graham, DE (Eagles) – gains some IDP relevancy with DE tag now
• Cedric Thornton, DE (Cowboys)
• Sen’Derrick Marks, DT (Jaguars)
• Jacquies Smith, DE (Bucs)
• Matt Judon, DE (Ravens) – one of my top dynasty targets/stashes right now
• Shilique Calhoun, DE (Raiders) – another dynasty target/stash, you’ll thank me later

• Owa Odighizuwa, DE (Giants) – signing of Olivier doesn’t help but should see field

• Cassius Marsh, DE (Seahawks) – i’m still buying where i can, he’s free & sneaky upside
