2016 Pre-Draft Top 100 OFF/IDP Rookie Rankings

It’s that time once again, we’re fast approaching the 2016 NFL Draft and we’re ramping up dynasty league off-season activities but more times than not our leagues hold the rookie draft AFTER the NFL Draft so if that is you then this rankings will help you pre-draft to help prep you so you’d get a view of which rookie may go where, of course this is all league dependent too as you have to feel your league out.

7 MYLES JACK LB the only IDP I feel confident in taking this high in rookie drafts, Jack is going to be a franchise LB and you’d want to get in on this. He could drop to the bottom of the 1st but given how lackluster offensively this draft is IDP’s can go earlier

15 DARRON LEE LB my 2nd highest rated IDP overall (right now, may not change post draft neither) could go as early as 2.03 & if you need an impact LB I’d make Lee a priority in the 2nd

24 JAYLON SMITH LB yes his knee injury will scare you away a bit but if you’re able to stash him, I’d do so like Fowler (worth the wait) i can see him go as high as late 2nd but wouldnt be surprised if he falls into mid-3rd. Jaylon’s talent is hard to bypass and if no injury he’d be right there with Myles in the 1st
25 JOEY BOSA DE his value would take a hit if he went to a 3-4 scheme and has to play standing up, Bosa is pretty disruptive but better suited with his hands on the turf IMO and seems a bit high for a DE but the IDP run will start late 2nd-early 3rd.
26 DEFOREST BUCKNER DE Right after Bosa is gone expect Buckner to follow suite or vice versa, Buckner has an argument to be the 1st DE taken in drafts as well as he’s such a physical powerful beast a mix of Calais Campbell and Justin Tuck.

31 JALEN RAMSEY DB Last year Landon had an ADP roughly mid-3rd and this is where Ramsey could be projected to go, yes you can “stream” DB’s but the special ones I like to own and Ramsey is special. If he lands in TEN or SDC he’ll be an IDP gem right out the gate but the earliest i can see someone take Ramsey is 3.01 (25th overall)

33 KENYON DRAKE RB
34 CHARONE PEAKE WR
35 KEYARRIS GARRETT WR
36 JOSHUA PERRY LB one of my fav LB’s in this draft, going to have solid value in rookie drafts as he’s another mid-3rd gem to be had, could probably snag him late 3rd early 4th too but this is where the offensive talent isnt all intriguing & i’d rather take the IDP upside/impact
37 SHAQ LAWSON DE remember i mentioned an IDP run can be made, here it is and Lawson is a solid get for your DE depth
38 KEVIN DODD DE let’s follow suit with Lawson’s teammate Dodd, another DE that i like and has that versatility where he can play standing up as well so a team like the GBP could use an edge rusher like Dodd. Will his lose some value if he plays LB & gets LB tag, maybe but I’m targeting talent
39 DE’RUNNYA WILSON WR
40 KEENAN REYNOLDS RB
41 KAMALEI CORRERA DE/LB im a Correra fan, dude is going to be a beast and I think grabbing him in the 4th round is going to be a steal at the end of the day, you probably won’t have to reach for him at all neither but pay attention to your draft flow and how your leaguemates value players.
42 NOAH SPENCE DE/LB big time Spence fan regardless of all the “character issues” he’s getting labeled. He jumped out to me immediately when i watched his film, he’s going to be special and definitely could be rising if he lands on a team that’ll utilize him, but getting him in the mid-4th also seems like a steal – telling you lot of IDP’s from here on down are going to be of some solid value
43 KENTRELL BROTHERS LB if you miss out on Lee/Jack/Perry then Brothers isn’t a bad alternate to be had, has some 3-down potential could rise to the occasion fast if he goes to a team like NYG or ATL
44 KENNY LAWLER WR
45 REGGIE RAGLAND LB  a thumper with some athleticism, solid against the run will be a good ILB as long as you don’t ask him to drop into coverage often
46 JONATHAN BULLARD DE versatile lineman, can play inside or on the ends – definitely a dynasty target of mines and will be going cheap towards the end of the 4th or mid-5th (if not later)
47 WENDELL SMALLWOOD RB
48 TJ GREEN DB a solid safety that could provide immediate impact if he goes to a team that’ll use him right away, it’s a coin flip between Green and Davis for me at the moment though with a slight edge to TJ.
49 ROBERT NKEMDICHE DT has the traits to be arguably the best defensive linemen in this draft, shall wreck havoc from the get go. In DT required leagues i could see him going a little earlier & wouldnt be surprised if he went mid-3rd too.

51 DEVON CAJUSTE WR
52 PAXTON LYNCH QB
53 TYLER MATAKEVICH LB a sleeper LB for you to know and have Hicks type value (5th round or later LY), Tyler can rack up tackles in bunches definitely worth stashing
54 VERNON ADAMS QB
55 EMMANUEL OGBAH DE limited on pass rushing moves but can’t deny his strength but could be Ealy-like early on.
56 DARIAN THOMPSON DB ball hawking safety, impressive tape IMO could fly under the radar heading into drafts as the love for TJ, Davis and Joseph is heating up and if Darian lands on a team like ATL or PIT he has some solid IDP appeal
57 SEAN DAVIS DB reminds me of Devin McCourty, could play CB or FS & do well at either, this could help his draft stock & become a bit more valuable and NYG should be calling his name on draft day they need a player like this and so will your IDP team IF this happens
58 DAK PRESCOTT QB
59 KARL JOSEPH DB tore his ACL early on so that is a concern, all-around safety though and possibly won’t see that until 2017 when he’s fully recovered. Makes solid reads and plays ball well, possibly another Harrison Smith – in due time?
60 DANIEL LASCO RB
61 TYLER ERVIN RB
62 LEONARD FLOYD LB solid edge rusher who is a good target in big play leagues, could go mid-4th in that case but in balanced scoring i view him like i do with McPhee-type
63 MARQUEZ NORTH WR
64 CARDALE JONES QB
65 DEION JONES LB his speed can help him play WILL at the next level, potential 3-down LB on right team (NYG for one and i know i bring them up alot but cmon, they NEED LB’s!) Could go a little earlier in drafts, around 45th overall if he lands in a good spot.
66 ANTONIO MORRISON LB could be this year’s “Kwon” almost mirrors him and I don’t expect him to start from day 1 but he could earn it (like Kwon) and surprise a lot of folks, don’t be fooled and you definitely want to keep Antonio on your radar come draft day, Kwon had an ADP around 60 LY sometimes went undrafted (4-5 round rookie drafts) so he could be a waiver gem if that’s the case

70 SHELDON RANKINS DT Rankins is a beast, in DT required leagues he’s going to go much earlier but for now if you can get him in the 6th or 7th take him!

78 VERNON BUTLER DT how do i put this, has a ceiling like Geno Atkins (YESSSSS i said it)
79 SU’A CRAVENS LB has to be used right in order to be successful, can play outside sorta like how Rams use Barron
80 YANNICK NGAKOUE LB underrated edge rusher, definitely got a feeling he’ll rise once we hit the draft and one of my sleeper edge rushers

82 JARED NORRIS LB
83 BLAKE MARTINEZ LB can be a nice sleeper for tackles here, moreso for stashing purposes
84 JEREMY CASH DB  hybrid DB/LB like Clayton Geathers
85 BRONSON KAUFUSI DE
86 SHILIQUE CALHOUN DE  struggles against the run but is stellar rushing the passer, someone will use him to his strength that’ll help him succeed, think Devin Taylor-ish
87 ANDREW BILLINGS DT can pile up the tackles from the interior, Jaye Howard-ish?
88 CHRIS JONES DT can see a Linval Joseph IDP Profile for Jones
89 JOE SCHOBERT LB want to see him play WILL as a 3-4 ILB, can succeed there at next level
90 NICK KWIATKOSKI LB  another thumper that’ll eat up blocks and drop back into coverage, i expect him to rise after draft but keep him on your radar!

92 MACKENSIE ALEXANDER DB potential to rack up a bunch of pass deflections
93 ELI APPLE DB big physical corner, like em with a Nolan Carroll IDP Profile

96 CARL NASSIB DE can his sacks translate to the next level, i expect him to be in a rotation first and could surprise but def wouldnt hurt if you needed DE depth on your squad
