Week 4 is about to begin, but before it does, I’m going to update you on the relevant fantasy football injuries for the upcoming Thursday night showdown between divisional rivals. Who is sitting and who is starting tonight? Stay tuned to find out.
Vernon Davis, TE: As of this moment, Vernon IS ACTIVE. Thigh injuries are tough to deal with however. If he aggravates it, he’ll likely leave the game early (see Larry Fitzgerald Week 2). I do believe that the upside with Vernon is large enough to warrant starting him, even if his thigh acts up on him.

Kyle Williams, WR: Williams was seen warming up prior to the game, and looks set to go tonight. He doesn’t hold very much fantasy value, but for those in super deep leagues starting many WRs, he’s worth a flier.
DEFENSE: Aldon Smith is definitely out while I don’t expect MLB Patrick Willis to play tonight. He hurt his groin on Sunday, and will likely benefit from sitting this week and getting ready for the following week.
Daryl Richardson, RB: Richardson practiced in full yesterday and is good to go. It’ll be interesting to see the carry split between Richardson and Isaiah Pead because we haven’t see how they will split the work when both are 100% (healthy/not-suspended). I wouldn’t start Richardson this week.
Chris Givens, WR: Givens will play tonight as well. He had a minor knee issue that has been worked out, and is good to go. Givens is a high upside WR3/4 this week.
