NFL 2020: Week 2 Streaming Defenses

It is that time again to pick up the defense that won’t kill us and maybe even give up a boost to that fantasy football week two win.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams finished as DE13 against the Dallas Cowboys last week. They recorded three sacks and zero interceptions. This was the first chance to see the defense by new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley and it looked pretty good.

The Rams pressured Dax Prescott at a rate of 40.5 percent. Aaron Donald pressured Prescott 10 times for 35 pass rushes. He finished with four tackles, one sack. one tackle for loss and four quarterback hits.

According to Next Gen Stats the Eagles allowed Carson Wentz to be pressure 34 percent of the time, which resulted in 16 pressures, eight sacks, two interceptions and two fumbles. Imagine what is is store for him against the Rams?

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs entered the season as the “maybe they will be good” defense, mainly because they are often overshadowed by their offense.

Their Thursday night game against the Houston Texans begs the question is the defense that good or is the Texans offensive line that bad? We are about to find out.

The Chargers offensive line isn’t anything to write home about which could mean very bad things for Tyrod Taylor. The Chargers offense depended on the run game last week but that fly in a game where they are a nine point underdog and the over/under is 48.

The pressure the Chiefs offense will put on the Chargers offense only bodes well for the Chiefs defense.

San Francisco 49ers

The Niners entered the season as a top five defense. They finished last week as DE13 in fantasy scoring. Don’t jump off the bandwagon just yet. This week they get the Jets offense who has a limping Jamison Crowder, Leveon Bell on IR and Adam Gase still head coach.

The Bills defense held the Jets to 17 points while recording one interception and three sacks. No running back had more than 25 rushing yards and the aforementioned Crowder was the only wide receiver to eclipse 50 receiving yards (115 yards on seven receptions).

It is a safe bet that this is just the game the 49ers need to get right.

Good Luck and see you on Twitter @neverenoughglt
