Week 7 QB Streamer: Roasting Defenses

QB Jacoby Brissett

Are you in need of a Week 7 Quarterback streamer? I have three widely available options that can help lead your fantasy football team to victory this week. But before we march onward, let’s take a look back at Week 6.

Stud – Kirk Cousins

Week 6 was a massive one for Kirk Cousins throwing for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. It was his second straight game with over 300 passing yards and multiple touchdowns. A great thing to see for a QB that started so slow.

Dud – Case Keenum and Gardner Minshew

Both Keenum and Minshew left a lot to be desired in Week 6. Keenum wasn’t great despite his tasty match-up. The Dolphins could do little on offense to force Washington to have to keep up. The Saints and Jaguars game was a ugly defensive struggle with little fantasy production on either side of the ball. Who should you target in Week 7?

Jacoby Brissett – 45% Owned

If you listened to the latest Angle of Pursuit Fantasy Football Podcast or saw my Week 7 Half-PPR rankings, you knew this one was coming. Jacoby Brissett is my stream of the week. Not only has he been a strong option all season, currently ranking in the Top 12 in PPG but his match-up this week is great.

The Colts are home off of the bye this week to face a Texans defense allowing the 10th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. This is also set up to be a massive TY Hilton game as the Colts WR traditionally performs very well against Houston. The Texans offense should produce plenty of points this week to push the Colts to keep pace.

Daniel Jones – 31% Owned

While I have been on record with my Daniel Jones skepticism thus far, I love this spot for the rookie signal caller. He has had 10 days to prepare for an Arizona Cardinals secondary that is putrid. They are currently allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

As bad as the Arizona defense is, their offense should be able to produce plenty of points. In fact, this game features the second highest over/under of the week. It is one of two games that feature a total in the 50’s. Jones should be getting all his weapons back this week including Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley. Expect Jones to have a strong fantasy day in this contest.

Gardner Minshew – 51% Owned

Week 6 was rough for those owners that rolled out Gardner Minshew last week but I think we should go back to the well. This is a quarterback who is still top 15 in fantasy points at the position.

The Jaguars are on the road this week against a Bengals defense allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing passers. Their defense is not only banged up, but could be without both starting cornerbacks this week. And while I expect a massive Leonard Fournette game here, I still think Minshew can produce.

The Jaguars defense also has its issues and Jalen Ramsey is out on the west coast. Andy Dalton and company should do enough to keep this game competitive. If you are looking for a solid performance this week, target Uncle Rico on the road.
