Adam Humphries, TB vs CAR (41%)
Humphries is still under-owned. Since week 6, his worst PPR game since was 7.3 points. He’s averaged 14.7 ppg during that same time frame. Please let me know if you need any more reason to pick him up and I’ll rifle off the reasons.
Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game
*Week 12*: Humphries is making a triumphant return to this article. He dropped out for me with Fitzmagic at the helm because Fitz is a gunslinger and loves to throw it deep. Jameis does the same, but he’s also a smarter QB (barely) and uses check-downs and the middle of the field. With OJ Howard now out for the year, even more targets over the middle will be available. The Humph was averaging 8-9 targets a game with Winston, and now will likely get some extra looks from Howard’s absence. Don’t even think about this – grab him if he’s available. Start him if you need. He’s like Amendola… he might not blow up but he’s going to get you 8-10 points minimum. That’s likely what you need in week 12 making that playoff push or trying to hold that playoff spot you think you have locked up!
Christian Kirk, ARI @ GB (38%)
This ownership really surprised me. Kirk is putting together quite a rookie season against all odds (terrible QB play and OC for most of the year). Green Bay has a very burnable secondary and Kirk has only had 2 duds all season (<8 points). He’s a safe flex play this week, with tremendous upside in a potential high scoring game (at least from the Packers side).
Bruce Ellington, DET vs LAR (6%)
12 catches on 16 targets in the last two weeks! That’s good enough to warrant a pickup in all fantasy leagues no matter what I’m about to say next. He only gained 70 total yards on those 12 catches, lacking a touchdown. Regardless, Stafford and the Lions like to throw the ball. With Tate, and now Jones, out of the picture there are targets to be had. Ellington has always been a much better real-life football player than fantasy, but this game projects as a shootout. Even if he gets 6-60-0, that’s 12 points for you in PPR leagues. I just picked him up in my PPR league in which I’m currently fighting for a playoff spot, and there’s a good chance I start him over Josh Doctson this week.
Marcell Ateman, OAK vs KC (2%)
This one’s a deep-league dart throw but anytime a team is playing Kansas City I like to have players who are going up against the Chiefs. Ateman has received 15 targets the past two weeks, but he’s produced a mediocre 7-66-0 line from it. The Raiders offense is nothing to ride home about, but if Carr throws it 40 times this game then he could put up decent numbers.
Playoff players to stash, pickup, consider (weeks 15 & 16):
- Christian Kirk (@ATL, LAR) – amazing matchups, will play from behind, plenty of volume to be had
- Bruce Ellington (@BUF, MIN) – not the best matchups but a good volume stash
- Devin Funchess (NO, ATL) – two potential shootouts – don’t forget about Carolina’s WR1 for the first 6 games of the season
- Mike Williams (@KC, BAL) – love him in week 15 against the Chiefs… that could go above 80 points
- Tre’Quan Smith (@CAR, PIT) – couple of good matchups here, slightly risky but see how he performs against DAL and TB
