Don't Miss

FanDuel Week 10 Targets

I am back after a good week of calls to bring you my FanDuel players to target for your tournament pleasures. With an extra game on the slate this week, there should be plenty of players to choose from.

To review some of last weeks calls, I had an overall great week yet there are always misses. It’s going to happen each week. Baker Mayfield was my worst pick at quarterback finishing 12th at the position in points. Isaiah  Crowell was the loser for me at running back coming in at 31st. At wide receiver the only line up killers were D.J. Moore and DeSean Jackson who always have a limited amount of targets and we knew were a gamble. The tight end biggest miss was Jordan Reed who no showed last week essentially.

I take the good with the bad and always strive for perfection so with that here are this week’s players.

Matt Ryan

Quarterback

Matt Ryan $8,500

It seems like the Falcons are really rolling on offense, and get to face the Browns who have given up 38, 23, 33, and 37 points in the last four weeks. With the defense for the Falcons still nonexistent, I have Matty Ice as my top option here this week.

Jared Goff $8,100

He didn’t disappoint last week and is in another game that could go back and forth.  Cooper Kupp looked healthy, and that gives Goff a full arsenal through the air.

Ryan Fitzpatrick $$7,600

As I mentioned with Matt Ryan, this Ryan doesn’t have a defense to help him out either. Fitzmagic, also similarly, gets to see the Redskins defense who allowed 38 points last week to Matt Ryan. He has the weapons to repeat the success.

Baker Mayfield $7,400

I have suggested Baker before and he has only came through for me once so far versus the Bucs. I am rolling him out again against the Falcons. It is a very similar situation facing a depleted defense and likely a deficit.

Running Back

Todd Gurley II $10,500

This has to be redundant at this point. After watching Melvin Gordon tune up the Seahawks last week for over 100 yards and a touchdown, I am salivating on what Gurley can do here. He continues to be an elite option each and every week.

Kareem Hunt $9,000

He has been knocking on the upper elite tier for the last few weeks, and is in another crush spot this week. He continues to get work and is game flow independent making him a good play each week.

Melvin Gordon III $8,900

Gordon has quietly been great for most of the year, and with Austin Ekeler involved, it keeps his ownership lower than it should be. Play him. He’s good.

Joe Mixon $8,000

This could be a great spot for Mixon facing the Saints who gave been generous as a defense. Also possibly stepping up in the passing game to help alleviate the absence of A.J. Green could make it a huge day.

Tevin Coleman $7,300

Filling in as the lead back for the Falcons, Coleman has been good with running and catching the ball. I already mentioned that the Bengals have been giving up a ton of points and I feel that happens again here.

David Johnson $6,900

This is the ultimate hope play for me. Johnson will almost have to be deployed as a pass catcher, as the Chiefs are expected to be up big early. As long as he gets receiving work he will earn his value.

Mark Ingram $6,800

There has only been one game since Ingram has returned, that he has been a top back. This seems like a great match up to make that number two. They should lead with ease and he gets plenty of work when that is the case.

Aaron Jones $6,500

Finally being freed from a three man time share, he now has the chance to get possibly more carries with the Packers likely playing with the lead. He will not see many targets in the passing game, so his value is limited.

Dion Lewis $5,800

One of the better receiving options for the Titans, Lewis should get plenty of looks versus the Patriots, in what could be a back and forth affair.

Duke Johnson Jr. $5,600

We saw the reemergence of Duke Johnson, the pass catcher, last week. If it continues this week he will be a great value again.

Wide Receiver

Julio Jones $8,700

Look who finally scored a touchdown last week. Will Jones start a touchdown streak? Who cares? He is elite, in a plus match up. Don’t over think it.

Davante Adams $8,600

The only healthy target for Aaron Rodgers, who has been consistently good each week is, Davante. Adams gets his again this week.

Tyler Boyd $7,800

Boyd will look to continue his break out season this week. Did you hear, A.J. Green is out? The field seems to be split on whether he will benefit from that or not. He will be a good play.

Tyreek Hill $7,600

This is Tyreek’s type of game even if he gets shadowed by Patrick Peterson. I feel Hill gets loose this week.

Mike Evans $7,500

What the hell happened last week? There has to be a bounce back coming and it should be big. Take advantage of the price discount.

T.Y. Hilton $7,000

Hilton will be the ultimate contrarian play. The Jaguars defense is not the feared unit of last year, but Jalen Ramsey will still likely shadow Hilton. It only takes a few big plays to pay off.

Josh Gordon $6,700

I am hoping Gordon gets to face Malcolm Butler, because he has been the gift that keeps giving. Gordon will be a good play either way as he has gained Tom Brady’s trust, and Gronk is out again.

Jarvis Landry $6,400

One of my favorite plays almost weekly is Jarvis Landry. It has been very similar game situations each week. The Browns will likely be passing to stay in the game, and he is the top target on the team. Copy and paste for next week.

Marvin Jones Jr. $6,200

Jones has been the possession type receiver for Matt Stafford, and I believe he will be looked at a lot with that Bears pass rush coming. If he can add a touchdown, it would be a cherry on top in a scary match up.

Tyler Lockett $6,200

Can the Seahawks hang with the Rams? They did the first time around, and Locket had a big day the first time around. It is hard to adjust to speed and he is still fast.

Larry Fitzgerald $5,800

The return of Larry Fitzgerald last week was great. The match up is set for possible junk time stats early. Keep it going Larry.

John Ross $5,600

I have a lot of Bengals’ targets, as it is unknown how they will replace A.J. Green’s targets. He is extremely fast, and I will assuredly use him in at least one line up hoping for a long touchdown.

DeVante Parker $5,400

This call could go either way. He is the definition of high risk, high reward. I am hoping for the best and trusting his talent.

Bucs Wire-USA Today

Tight End

You may notice there is no Travis Kelce at the top spot this week for me. While he is the top rated tight end for me this week I believe Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill are the better plays this week.

O.J. Howard $6,500

If I am fading Kelce this week, O.J. Howard is a nice top play again this week. He has been great around the red zone with Fitzpatrick at the helm.

Ben Watson $5,900

I initially did not have Watson as a target, but with Dez getting hurt I think he can keep his usual role and have a good enough day to help you out.

Austin Hooper $5,800

Hooper has been steady in the pass game lately, yet has not been spectacular. If you roster him, you are definitely hoping for a touchdown.

David Njoku $5,400

He seems to be the new number three in line for targets with Duke Johnson back in the mix. The passing volume should be enough to have good returns.

Jordan Reed $5,200

He used to be an auto start for me. Playing poorly so far this season, I expect low ownership on him this week. This game looks like either a shootout type, or the Redskins playing catch up. Either way, he could be a huge value play.

Defense

Bears $5,000

Sometimes, paying up for defense is a great idea, even in the tournament situations. It certainly payed off last week. This week, Khalil Mack returns to help bolster an already good defense.

Bills $3,700

This whole game screams defense, and I have trouble paying up for the Jets who are not as impressive as the Bills have looked on the defensive side.

Bucs $3,300

The Redskins’ offensive line is in shambles, and the return of Gerald McCoy should help make them a great cheap option.
