Welcome to Byemageddon!!! We have 6 teams on a bye this week. The Week 9 Waiver Wire will need to be utilized effectively to fill in the gaps on your squad. Who should you add this week? Start with these 8 names!

Bye: Indianapolis, Cincinnati, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Arizona, Jacksonville

DeVante Parker | WR | Miami Dolphins

Yahoo – 14%
ESPN – 22%

Welcome back DeVante Parker!!! It seemed like a DeVante Parker resurgence was prime but with the quotes coming out of Miami you never know. Parker impressed on Thursday catching 6 of his 9 targets for 134 yards. He was the most targeted pass catcher in this offense.

While you won’t feel great about using him every week, he should be a viable option at least in the short term. Albert Wilson is done for the year and Kenny Stills missing more time Parker is a viable option in the short term.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling | WR | Green Bay Packers

Yahoo – 6%
ESPN – 3%

It was another productive week for the Packers rookie Maquez Valdes-Scantling. He found the end zone with 1 of his two catches. Despite only tallying 45 yards, it was the third straight game MVS had either 100 yards or a TD.

He has been targeted 22 times over the last three weeks and is becoming a vital part of the passing game. He seems to be the most consistent option with Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison banged up.

Keke Coutee | WR | Houston Texans

Yahoo – 20%
ESPN – 19%

The Houston Texans lost Will Fuller for the season after tearing his ACL. Fuller continues to be real game changer when healthy. Unfortunately the 3rd year WR will miss another huge chunk of a season. So who will fill that void? Keke Coutee is the first name to target.

Despite not playing on Thursday with a hamstring issue, Coutee has shown his abilities thus far this season including 11 catches for 109 yards against the Colts and 6 catches for 51 yards and a score against Dallas.

D.J. Moore | WR | Carolina Panthers

Yahoo – 16%
ESPN – 10%

The Panthers DJ Moore had his best game of his rookie season on Sunday catching 5 of his 6 targets for 90 yards. The targets have continued to build for him including 16 over the last 3 weeks.

The Panthers face Tampa Bay next week who have had all kinds of issues defending the opposing passing game. He has the chance to help you this week and become someone you can help you down the stretch.

Doug Martin | RB | Oakland Raiders

Yahoo – 53%
ESPN – 52%

Doug Martin looked strong taking this week against the Colts taking over Marshawn Lynch, even with a late fumble. He carried the ball a season high 13 times for 72 yards (5.5 YPC).

While I would be concerned about the potential volume he may see in games where the Raiders trail, the next few weeks offer a golden opportunity for production. The Raiders face the 49ers this week and the Cardinals in two weeks. Both games should be relatively close contests. Even the Chargers games that is sandwiched in between has the potential to remain within a score or so for a majority of the game.

Jalen Richard is also worth a look for those in PPR leagues. He has seen 6 or more targets in each of the Raiders last three games. Those games did involve big deficits for Oakland the required a lot of passing.

Peyton Barber | RB | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yahoo – 46%
ESPN – 56%

Peyton Barber is a thing this season whether we want want it to happen or not. In two of the last three weeks he has eclipsed 80 yards rushing. He averaged 4.5 YPC on 19 carries this week. This was the third time he saw 16 carries or more.

It will be interesting to see how Tampa Bay looks after going back to Ryan Fitzpatrick this week. They will be without Ronald Jones for a “few weeks” per NFL Networks Ian Rapoport. The volume should continue to be there. Add him if you need RB help.

Jack Doyle | TE | Indianapolis Colts

Yahoo – 26%
ESPN –  32%

Jack Doyle looked strong in his return to the Colts. He was targeted 7 times, catching 6 for 70 yards and a TD. He was not targeted a ton until the 4th quarter. On the drive that put Indy up 7 with 5ish minutes to go, Doyle saw 4 targets for 52 yards and a TD.

It looks as if Doyle is regaining his role as the primary TE in this offense. He saw 4 more targets and 3 more catches. Both Ebron and Doyle joined Mo Allie-Cox as the three TEs to score for the Colts.

Ryan Fitzpatrick | QB | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yahoo – 7%
ESPN – 6%

While it may be mere weeks before the Fitzmagic turns Fitztragic and Ryan is back on the bench, he is someone worth using. With Jameis Winston imploding in Cincinatti it is Fitzpatrick who will be back under center.

Per Jared Smola of DraftSharks, a combination of Fitzpatrick and WInston would give you not just a QB1 but the QB1 in all of fantasy football. That’s right, the two have score more that Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and every other QB.

It may get bump but this plane could take you to the promise land if you own both.
