- Hits the hole with zip
- Shows patience
- Will let the play develop
- Can generate yards after contact (but I wouldn’t consider him a power runner)
- A one-cut runner who would be a nice fit in an outside zone scheme
- Very nice hands out of the backfield
- Very aggressive in pass pro, which will give him a boost in the minds of NFL teams who want to protect their franchise QB
- Great short-area quickness
Concerns
- Needs to drive feet upon contact
- Doesn’t possess elite balance
- Needs to lower pad level especially on inside runs
- Not a home-run hitter
- Does not out run defenders angles of pursuit
Kyle’s Instant Evaluation
Javorius Allen feels like a running back that will be better in the NFL than what he showed in college. He will go two rounds later than he should have and find a way to become relevant. He has the size to produce at the next level and the speed to make plays. The future is bright for this prospect.
