Daily Fantasy Basketball Playbook – 11/28

Steph Curry

For those that I didn’t get to talk to yesterday, Happy belated Thanksgiving to all of you. I hope you all got very fat off of food and spent some quality time with those you deem worthy in your life. Be sure to wear stretchy pants this evening though, because we have full course of NBA games this evening. With only one game really being low scoring, every other game is in full swing to be a shootout. So here are my picks for different guys at each position. All of my prices are based off of DraftKings. Good luck!

Point Guards

Steph Curry ($9,500) – Curry is averaging a hair shy of 60 points over his last two games. Tonight, he gets the second worst team at defending his position. That’s value that’s hard to pass up tonight.

Jeff Teague ($7,000) – Teague has been en fuego as well over the past few nights. He’s hit the 43 fantasy point mark over his last three games, so it’s always nice to see that kind of consistency. The matchup isn’t great, but the Pels backcourt is much more susceptible to points than the frontcourt so look for Teague to attack there tonight, which bodes well for his fantasy value.

Zach LaVine ($4,200) – This might seem like a stretch to some people, but I have a really good feeling about LaVine tonight. He’s coming off of a solid performance, and he played over 35 minutes. Mo Williams is banged up, and is questionable tonight. Even if he plays, I expect LaVine to have a solid night against a bad Lakers team.

D.J. Augustin ($4,400) – No Brandon Jennings tonight means Augustin will get the start again for the Pistons. He’s been nothing short of solid, and an absolute must play in DFS. Start him with no concerns tonight, especially because his price tag is still so low.

Shooting Guard

James Harden ($10,400) – It’s always so hard to pay up for a guy, but Harden is one of the few players I know I can count on to return the value. Dwight Howard is out tonight, so Harden has the green light for his usual 30+ shots plus 15 more from the charity stripe. I like him a lot tonight.

Rodney Stuckey ($4,100) – I’m either going Harden tonight or Stuckey, only two guys I’m considering. Stuckey is a great, cheap play with a ton of upside tonight. He’s coming off a nice game, and that should carry over against a soft Indiana backcourt.

Small Forward

Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game

Josh Smith ($6,600) – Don’t worry, I can’t believe I’m writing his name either. For as much crap as I give him, he’s has a great three game stretch where he’s put up 34+ points. I can justify taking a shot on him for that price. Milwaukee doesn’t scare me away enough to fade him.

Chandler Parsons ($6,400) – I know he has been so up and down lately, but Parsons is the safest pick of the night against the Raptors. He’ll return about 30 points, but has the potential to drop 40 tonight. If you’re looking for upside then look elsewhere, but if stability is what you need, then Parsons is your guy.

DeMarre Carroll ($4,900) – He’s mostly a GPP play to me, but he has a ton of upside against a Pels team that is struggling at that position right now. He should get a ton of open looks, and has the ability to stretch the court so he’ll get a lot of minutes as well.

Donatas Motiejunas ($4,400) – Simple Math here: No Dwight Howard + No Terrence Jones = big minutes for Donatas.

Power Forward

Markieff Morris ($6,700) – He will be the guy that everyone is chasing tonight, but his matchup is a good reason why that should be the case. He can very easily put up similar numbers like last night. I think it’s more likely he puts up around 30, but I will be happy to be wrong.

Anthony Davis ($11,200) – I know I saw it almost every article, but until Davis proves me he isn’t worthy to be in the playbook then he’ll always be worth paying for. It’s as simple as that.

David West ($6,600) – I always have advocated against playing guys their first game back from injury. I still feel the same way, but the Pacers need West back in a big way this season. I’m not saying he’s going to put up LeBron or Brow type numbers, but I think a 18/12 game is not out the question. I think he’s definitely a GPP play instead of a cash game.

Andre Drummond ($7,300) – As usual, I don’t like too many of the big guys tonight. I think Drummond is one of the best values at the position. If you’re not starting Augustin or Smith, I definitely recommend Drummond.

Timofey Mozgov ($5,700) – He’s my value play of the night at the position. The Suns are not a good team against centers, and Mozgov has been excellent the past two weeks. I’ll probably be starting him on most of my rosters.
