Sure the Bengals didn’t hit double digits against the Jaguars in week nine, but that doesn’t mean the Dallas Cowboys defense can’t do in jolly old England in week 10! It was an overall decent week for my picks, as the Browns had nine points (17 points allowed, two interceptions and two sacks), the Bengals had eight points (23 points allowed, two sacks and an interception) and the Chiefs had seven points (10 points allowed with three sacks). All three almost broke double digits, and I’ll take 7-9 every week from my defense no problem. Its a sad week next week as the Jaguars will be on bye, but we can enjoy the targeting of their offense for one more week.

The Dallas Cowboys did give up 28 points last week to Arizona, but Jacksonville is not Arizona. Blake Bortles has thrown at least one interception in every game he has played this year and at least two interceptions in five of seven games. Both teams are going to London this weekend, so I love this match up regardless of the porous nature of the Dallas Cowboys defense. I think Tony Romo plays this week which should help the defense immensely, and while the defense of the Dallas Cowboys did give up 28 points last week as mentioned, they also had an interception touchdown and two sacks. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dallas Cowboys defense has two interceptions returned for touchdowns in week 10.

The New York Jets improved in the turnover department last week as they had none on offense. However, they scored just 10 points. The Jets rank 32nd in the league in passing yards per game with 184 as per ESPN.com. The Steelers had one interception, four sacks and a fumble recovery last week against the Ravens while giving up 23 points. The Jets offense doesn’t scare me one bit and its not close to as good as the Ravens defense. I think the Steelers will get up big in this game early and it will force Michael Vick to throw a lot and get away from what the Jets do well – run the ball. This is more of a gameflow streamer I think, but we know the Jets are prone to turnovers.
Baltimore Ravens (available in 45% of Yahoo! leagues)
Yes they got rocked for 6 TDs last week against Pittsburgh, so what? Tennessee is starting that 80s rock star looking guy….Zach Hamburger or whatever his name is. In his NFL debut, Mettenberger was sacked twice, threw one interception and lost a fumble. The Ravens defense has recorded at least two sacks and a fumble recovery in the past three games. I could see the Ravens dialing up the pressure on the rookie Mettenberger in week 10, leading to forced throws and turnovers. The Tennessee Titans are ranked 24th in passing yards per game and 20th in rushing yards per game as per ESPN.com and they also sport a porous defense against the run. I think this game will get a little out of hand as Joe Flacco looks to avenge the slapping he received from Pittsburgh last week. Did I mention this game is in Baltimore? Another plus for the Ravens.
