Heading into the weekend, it’s important to have the best players in your fantasy baseball lineups.
With some stars struggling in the early going, adding guys like the Chicago White Sox’ Dayan Viciedo and the Tampa Bay Rays’ James Loney could give you the edge you need to come out of your Week 4 matchups with victory in hand.

» Dayan Viciedo, OF, White Sox (10.4 percent): Another player on the ever-growing list of Cuban imports, Dayan Viciedo has become a fantasy factor during his recent hot streak. The 25-year-old outfielder is hitting .542 over his last six games, which includes a home run, four doubles, a triple, five RBI and six runs scored. He’s only hit one homer so far, but with 39 dingers over the last two seasons, the bombs are gonna come sooner or later. Avisail Garcia is out for the remainder of 2014, meaning “The Tank” should garner nearly every start in right field as the season progresses.
» James Loney, 1B, Rays (15.5 percent): Loney is sort of an anomaly for a first baseman, in that he’s not known for his power — but he can sure hit for average and drive in runs. After hitting .244 (10-for-41) during a 14-game span to begin the season, the eight-year vet has really turned it on lately, going 12-for-25 (.480) and knocking in nine runs over his last six games. The Rays begin a four-game set with the White Sox on Friday, who have the league’s second-worst team ERA (5.09). Make sure Loney is added and in your lineups.
