The goalkeeper suffered a knock in Tuesday’s 0-3 loss at the hands of Everton and is set to miss the next two or three matches due to a knee injury, according to club manager Alan Pardew. Rob Elliot will get the start in his place when Newcastle faces Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday. The good news is that the club’s leading goal scorer Loic Remy is on the comeback and will take part in training over the next week and projects to be available for the Manchester United match.
