Weekly Values After Week 15. The Fantasy Playoffs are here, and they are an absolute mess, with Covid adding to the usual injury issues across all formats. The deeper your league goes for starting positions each week, the crazier it gets! But no matter the situation or format, players’ weekly value, and consistency are still the best guide to making those critical start/sit decisions in Fantasy Football. So let’s take a look at the data after week 15.
—————————————
QB Values
Data for weekly values and consistency go back to the 2019 season but are heavily weighted for 2021. This strategy is used because the more data points, the more confident you can be about the results in any statistical formula. Rookie and second-year players are also given a fudge factor to account for having fewer data points than the players who have been full-time starters since 2019. Patrick Mahomes took over the top spot again from Josh Allen, but the two are in their tier. Russell Wilson’s consistency rating has taken a big hit down to just 51% showing how risky he can be right now as a fantasy starter. Let’s take a look at the rest of the data.

RB Values
The injuries at RB have taken away some of the top players, but Alvin Kamara continues to hang on to the top spot in PPR leagues. Of course, the most significant rise this season has been Jonathan Taylor. Taylor only had three games with more than 25 touches in his rookie year and has hit that level in 4 of his last five games. The fact that he has always maintained a high consistency rating with a lower volume than the other top RBs has been impressive. With further use, there is no doubt that he will be the top RB in Fantasy Football, but the question is IF he will maintain that high use as we advance. First, let’s look at the rest of the data at RB.

WR Values
Heading into the 2021 season, Devante Adams was clearly in the top tier all by himself at the WR position. Cooper Kupp’s range of outcomes was forecast to be anywhere between WR6-17, with his consistency rating at a strong 77%. After week 15, he has taken over the top spot in the rankings over Adams, and his consistency rating has increased to 82%. He has more than 20+ games than many WRs have 10+ games! This week in the fantasy playoffs, Antonio Brown returns to action, and his WR14 rating makes him a must-start in all formats. Let’s look at the rest of the data at the position.

TE Values
Every season we see fantasy football prognosticators ask the age-old question, “Which TE will join the elite level at the position this season?” After 15 weeks, the answer according to the weekly values is ZERO. (Weekly values already had Mark Andrews in the top tier before the season) George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Mark Andrews have a clear advantage in weekly value over the rest of the pack. The injured Darren Waller still holds down 4th place in the ratings but has left the top tier. Gronkowski, Goedert, Gesecki and Ertz form their own third tier. Gesecki and Ertz low consistency rating makes them less desirable as your starter week in and week out. Let’s take a look at the rest of the data.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kittle | 24 | 73 | 1 | SF |

Playoff Advice
The old saying “Dance with the one who brung ya” rings true in the fantasy football playoffs. If a player on your team has a high weekly value and a consistency rating of over 70%, they are an automatic start IF they are active for the week. Do not get cute playing matchups when you have elite players. But as the consistency rating drops, that is when you need to check out Professor John Bush’s matchup data here on FakePigSkin. Good luck in the fantasy playoffs this week.
