NFL Week 11 Streaming Defenses

There are four teams on a bye this week. And it is getting clutch time in your fantasy football league, so if we must let’s start streaming defenses.

This week, there are only four teams on a bye: Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and the Tennessee Titans. So away we go…

Oakland Raiders v Cincinnati Bengals, over/under 48.5, Raiders 10.5-point favorite

It is time to pile on the Bengals, while simultaneously acknowledging the Raiders’ defense is pretty good. Last week against a more experienced, better quarterback (and team), the Raiders tallied five sacks, three takeaways and a defensive score. This week they should be able to pad those stats, at will.

New York Jets @ Washington, over/under 38., Washington 1.5-point favorite

Honestly, this could go either way…however, Washington has announced that rookie Dwayne Haskins will start the remainder of the season. And while this is not disparaging on Haskins, Washington is a shit show right now. Besides allowing the fourth most fantasy points to defenses, their reality sucks too. (Which reminds me, this has to be a downgrade of the fantasy implications for stand-out wide receiver, Terry McLaurin). Washington is averaging 12 points per game. They are 30th in total yards, 31st in passing yards, 25th in rushing yards (thanks Adrian Peterson) and 31st in third down completions. Seriously, without AP they would be in the bottom of every category, and that was with Case Keenum under center. So…

Washington v New York Jets

Like I said, it can go either way. Yep, the Jets put a “W” in the column last week against the New York Giants…but come on, it was the Giants. And yeah okay, Washington might just be step lower as their defense does rank 21st in the NFL. (The Giants are 27th according footballers.com). But the Jets, even after one week reprieve, are not a good team. Their quarterback(s) have been sacked 39 times. They have given up the ball 17 times to opposing defenses. And they rank 30th in scoring, 32nd in total yards, 32nd in passing yards, 31st in rushing yards (hey Le’Veon) and 32nd in third down completion percentage.

You could seriously stream either defense and feel pretty confident about it.
