It’s another TNF barn burner in the making with the 1-1 Tennessee Titans taking on the 0-2 Jacksonville Jaguars in an AFC South clash worthy of melatonin or NyQuil. In classic TNF fashion, this could either be snooze-fest or some miraculous fantasy feast no one saw come coming.
Probably the former.
The Jaguars led the charge this year on quarterback injuries with Nick Foles seeing less than a full game in the regular season before exiting with an injured collar bone. Since then, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees followed suit while Sam Darnold decided to contract a virus we barely remember from high school.

With Nick Foles out, we are seeing the colorful and perhaps weird (he stretches in only his jockstrap – and yes, he still wears one) backup quarterback, Gardner Minshew.
If you were anything like me when Foles went down, you threw up your hands in despair at the injustice of Dede Westbrook’s fantasy value. While it’s true that Westbrook’s stock took a hit, Minshew pleasantly surprised us by completing 22 passes on 25 attempts for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns. Week 1 saw Westbrook and Chris Conley getting involved then D.J. Chark stepped up his game and saw the end zone in Week 2.
When it comes to this TNF matchup against the Titans, the only WRs I feel comfortable taking a stab at (if I’m desperate) are D.J. Chark and Chris Conley. Chark seems to be emerging as Minshew’s favorite target seeing the most targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns over his counterparts.
Leonard Fournette owners are chomping at the bit to get more fantasy points from their fringe RB1, but it may be an uphill battle against the 10th ranked Titans’ defense vs. RB as well as the potential for a negative gamescript. However, FantasyPros does have him ranked above Mark Ingram, James Conner, Matt Breida, and Josh Jacobs.
If you need to start him in this matchup, move Fournette into the RB position to keep your flex open for the weekend.

On the other side of the ball, the Titans have some interesting pieces to consider as starters on Thursday night with the Jags defense suffering from trade request turmoil. Meaning Jaylen Ramsey may completely ball out and try and look enticing to future suitors or simply not care and not show up for the game.
I’ll get straight to the point here when it comes to your possible starters. The Jags are 7th worst against the TE position so fire up your shares of Delanie Walker who quietly finished as the 4th best tight end in both standard and PPR over Weeks 1 and 2.
Derrick Henry is another name you should be plugging into your lineups but understand he may not produce as explosive results as you may like. The Jags’ defense will need to step up in a big way to help out their backup QB. Henry is the biggest threat (aside from Walker) and the Jags’ are ranked 13th against the run heading into this week.

Of course, because I’ve put this out into the universe, watch Corey Davis finally have a fantasy relevant game. I don’t see this happening, but if it does, take this opportunity to sell him as high as humanly possible and get rid of the headache that is Corey Davis.
