The 2017 Fantasy Supercross season, presented by RMFantasySX, heads to Glendale, Arizona this week to the home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. This will be the second year at University of Phoenix Stadium after competing at Chase Field for years. This also happens to be my hometown, and I’ll be at the race as a guest of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, the parent company of our sponsor! I’d like to personally thank them not only for creating and hosting this league, which I’ve been covering for the past three seasons, but also for the opportunity to bring the kids and hang with the race team this weekend.
Last week’s race was a barn burner, as Ryan Dungey got his first win of the season after Ken Roczen had a terrible, devastating crash while dominating the race. Roczen not only lost the points lead, but will also be missing a few weeks after suffering a compound fracture of his forearm in the crash. It’s an unfortunate turn of events for the early season points leader, who had been dominating every round aboard his Factory Honda ride.

Ryan Dungey – Dungey has two wins in Phoenix, six Top-5 finishes in seven career starts, and finished 2nd to Roczen at this new track last year.
Jason Anderson – El Hombre has improved his finish in Phoenix the past two years, going from 6th in 2015 to 4th last year.
Marvin Musquin – Musquin had a notoriously slow start to his rookie campaign last year, and he finished 9th in Phoenix, but he has been the fastest rider not named Dungey or Roczen this year, so he’s a contender.
Chad Reed – Although Reed has never won in Arizona, he has seven career Top-5 finishes and narrowly missed it for an eighth time last year, finishing 6th.
Eli Tomac – He won in Phoenix in 2015, and finished on the podium in 3rd last year.
Davi Millsaps – Millsaps got his 5th career Top-5 finish in Phoenix at last year’s race.
Cooper Webb – Cooper won in Phoenix in 2015 and finished 2nd last year in the 250 West class. He had his best finish of the season last week at A2, finishing 4th. I’m interested to see him race this week.

Our typical guys fill out this week’s Wild Card spot. Justin Brayton, Dean Wilson, Weston Peick, Broc Tickle, and Jake Weimer are the usual suspects. The Wild Card is 12th Place this week, so follow up on the last few posts for that 9-12 range guy. In addition to Ken Roczen missing this week, Justin Bogle of RCH Racing will also miss to rest his injured chest he suffered last week, leaving Tickle to ride solo this week.
