NBA DFS Playbook – 11/30

Blake Griffin

With the Christmas season in full swing, I must be in a really jolly mood to be rostering O.J. Mayo and Jerryd Bayless in NBA DFS. It’s a weird feeling and I’m not sure how I feel about it. With six games on the hardwood tonight, you’ll need some of those cheaper guys to hit in order to separate from the pack. All of my prices are according to DraftKings. Good luck tonight.

Point Guard

Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game >

Jerryd Bayless ($4,900)

Like I mentioned, I am all over Bayless tonight in DFS. He’s now getting the start over Michael Carter-Williams. He’s averaging over 30 fantasy points over his last 4 games and going against a Denver team that is terrible against the backcourt. He’s a great GPP play and a sneaky cash game guy as well.

Rajon Rondo ($9,000)

I’m someone who loved to play into narratives, and nothing pleases me more than revenge games. Rondo going against Dallas is as good as it gets for a motivated Rondo. I love him even more if DeMarcus Cousins is out tonight, but I’m going to use him everywhere I can fit him in.

Shooting Guard

O.J. Mayo ($4,000)

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like stacking the same backcourt but tonight is one of the exceptions where I think it is a viable option, especially if you’re looking for value. Mayo played well enough in his first game starting this season. The Bucks needed to shake things up and they played one of their best fames of the season with Mayo starting alongside Bayless.

Gerald Green ($4,000)

Green paid off in spades for me on Friday, and I am going right back to him tonight. With Avery Bradley guarding Dwayne Wade, Green should get even more opportunity tonight to build on his Friday success. It also helps that Luol Deng has been ruled out again tonight.

Small Forward

Kevin Durant ($9,900)

KD is priced under 10K? Sign me up please. He’s the safest option tonight at the position and you’re getting a slight discount. Simple as that.

Marcus Morris ($5,700)

There isn’t much I’m in love with at the position tonight, and Morris has the most favorable matchup. The Pistons will need to score to keep up with the Rockets and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope doesn’t shoot the ball as well as Morris. If you’re not going chalk, Morris is a solid GPP play tonight.

Power Forward

Dirk Nowitzki ($6,400)

Dirk isn’t the sexy play that people love, but he is by far the safest. He’s got one of the best floors in NBA DFS and is someone that I love using in my cash games. Dirk has still shown he can get the job done. Six of his last seven games were for over 30 fantasy points, and that all you should be looking for in your cash lineups.

Blake Griffin ($9,100)

Griffin’s salary has been trending downward and tonight is about as low as it should get all season. He’s got a great matchup against the Trail Blazers, who cant guard anyone in the paint. He’s my number one play of the night.

Al Horford ($6,400)

Horford is a guy that can go for 25/15 any night. I love using him tonight in cash games because his salary is so incredibly low. He’s a must start for all cash games and makes for a solid GPP play as well.

Clint Capela ($5,100)

The Rockets are experimenting with their lineups so much that it’s hard to keep track of anyone not named James Harden. Capela has played a ton of minutes over the past two games and it looks they will be sticking with him and Dwight Howard in the pain for sometime. Capela is a strictly a GPP play for me, but he has a ton of upside with lower ownership.
