Facing relegation, Cardiff had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday. The home side conceded a goal from the penalty spot in stoppage time just before the half, but was able to answer with one of their own in the 51st minute when Frazier Campbell was brought down in the area. Whittingham stepped up and finished from the spot to equalize, bringing his point total to 10 on the match. The one point earned by Cardiff moves them into 18th place, just ahead of Fulham on goal differential.
