Gameweek 30 Rankings

The return of a full slate of action in Gameweek 30 is a welcomed sight to that of fantasy players, as the list of usual suspects chosen for starting 11’s is at our disposal. And while the other games are sure to provide us with a few surprises, it’s the Sunday games that will no doubt draw most of the early headlines. Sunday opens with Manchester United seeking revenge for their early season loss at Anfield as they’ll play hosts to Liverpool, and then, in the later but still pretty early game (to us Yanks anyway), we have round #2 of the North London darby, pitting Tottenham against Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

18.  Edin Dzeko/Man. City £6.6
19.  Gary Hooper/Norwich City £5.8
20.  Shane Long/Hull City £5.7

Notes: I have Lukaku ranked above some other top strikers because it appears he’s back in form. With goals in back to back games, we could see a run similar to that of the one he had before his injury–LT

-With Torres out, should clear up the mess at striker for Chelsea a bit. Good as ever of a time to play Eto’o if you have him.
-Early reports have Bony set to play. Like his chances at getting on the scoresheet this week.
-Aguero, previously at 5, was a late scratch from our rankings due to a hamstring set-back during this week’s Champion League tie.
-Remy, previously at 12, was also removed due to missing the next three weeks with a calf injury–RB

24.  Marouane Fellaini/Man. United £7.7
25.  Andre Shürrle/Chelsea £7.0

Notes: Right off the bat, you’ll probably notice “The Ox’s” rather lofty ranking, and I’m sure you might be wondering why we have him ranked that high. The answer is quite simple: we’re in love with him…okay, besides that, he has a ton of upside and with Özil out he’s sure to get plenty of playing time–LT

-Great matchup this week for NUFC and Sissoko.
-Nasri has good chance to step up with Aguero out.
-Shelvey at 50% chance to play with a hamstring injury. Will be tested before kick-off–RB

24.  Curtis Davis/Hull City £4.7 *
25.  Sylvain Distin/Everton £5.2

-Jagielka not cleared yet, scheduled for late fit test.

-Stones an upside, value play. Especially if Jagielka is limited or ruled out. Seeming to earn more trust lately of his manager.
-Walker has been quite involved, even saw time at midfield last week.
-Debuchy, previously at 22, late scratch from rankings due to missing the next three weeks with groin injury–RB

Tim Howard/

Tim Howard/

1.  Petr Cech/Chelsea £6.3

8.  David De Gea/Man. United £5.7
9.  Vito Mannone/Sunderland £4.5
10.  Hugo Lloris/Tottenham £5.8
11.  Artur Boruc/Southampton £4.8
12.  Asmir Begovic/Stoke City £5.3

-Howard has been confirmed back and playing in a nice match up.
-Cech has a good chance at a clean sheet this week.
-De Gea has three straight clean sheets, but doubt that continues against Liverpool.
-Doesn’t get much better as far as a match up for Krul this week.
-Adrian is a great play, especially at the price–RB
