Good evening everyone, welcome to the 10th edition of the weekly injury roundup. Here are the notable injuries that you should be aware of for this upcoming week.
Aaron Rodgers has already been ruled out for week 10. Initial reports have him missing from 4-6 weeks. By no means should you drop him, but the earliest he’ll be back is week 13. If you are fighting to get into the playoffs, I’d see what player I could get in return for him. If you’re locked into the playoffs, throw an offer out there for ARod. The Packers find themselves neck and neck in their division for a playoff spot this season, so they’re going to need Rodgers back ASAP. Oh by the way, please don’t pick up Seneca Wallace. I almost didn’t even want to bold his name right there that’s how much I dislike him for fantasy/real football.
It looks as if rookie QB EJ Manuel will return tomorrow. He was terrific before getting hurt against Cleveland that fateful night where both he and Brian Hoyer went down. I have a tough time trusting him this week in any leagues other than deep ones or 2-QB leagues.
Fantasy just got a whole lot better thanks to Monkey Knife Fight. With fast-paced games like Rapid Fire and Either/Or, it’s never been easier to play fantasy and win. New to MKF? Get Exclusive $100 Deposit Match + Free $5 Game
After missing a few days of practice this week, Indianapolis RB Trent Richardson is officially listed as Questionable though he did practice Friday. It looks like he’s going to play, but I have a hard time trusting a running back averaging less than 3YPC and losing touches to Donald Brown. I’d keep him on your bench until he shows any signs of life…
Atlanta WR Roddy White is officially questionable but has already told everyone that he’s going to play Sunday. It’s going to be an entertaining re-match of the teams that met in the playoffs last year, especially with what is developing between Roddy and
punk DB Richard Sherman. Seattle’s defense hasn’t been anything close to what it was like to start the season, especially on the road. With that said, White’s burned fantasy owners way too many times with flare ups of his injuries, so I’d be disinclined to start him.
Quick hits: Cecil Shorts and MJD are probable. I’d play Shorts, but keep an uninspiring MJD on your bench…Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller will both play…With Darren McFadden out for another week, Rashard Jennings will get the start…Terrelle Pryor practiced in full on Friday and will play…Victor Cruz had a sore neck but practiced both Thursday and Friday so he’ll suit up Sunday…Andre Brown was activated off the IR but he’s going to be eased back into things and will not even start with Peyton Hillis being quite useful for the Giants the last few weeks…Zac Stacy will play Sunday, so he should be in all fantasy lineups…Gio Bernard is questionable, and at this time is looking iffy to play. Check in Sunday morning to see his exact status…Reggie Bush and Jay Cutler will both play Sunday in a pivotal divisional game…Mario Manningham will make his season debut tomorrow for the 49ers...Julius Thomas called himself a game time decision, make sure you have a back-up TE ready…Doug Martin has been placed on the IR, ending his season…
