Sunday provides NBA fans with eight games starting at 12:00 p.m. CST, so be sure to get to your lineups early.  We will take a look at players to target for your NBA DFS lineups with some great matchups.

SF/PF LeBron James (DraftKings $11,500/FanDuel $11,500)

LeBron and the new look Cleveland Cavaliers take on Kyrie Irving and the Celtics in Boston in the third matchup since the split of King James and Uncle Drew (Kyrie).  The series is one-to-one and has become a great rivalry between two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.  LeBron is an obvious pick in all DFS formats and the 33-year-old from Akron, OH, has shown no signs of slowing down.  On the season, James is averaging 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists per/game.  The team made some major changes at the trade deadline, shedding some of their age and bringing in youth and athleticism to surround LeBron.  James has produced back-to-back triple doubles, including a career high 19 assists vs. the Atlanta Hawks Friday night.  Look for James to lead his new and improved Cavs team as underdogs on the road against the Celtics at TD Garden.

SG/SF Jimmy Butler (DraftKings $9,800/FanDuel $10,400)

Butler coming off a loss in a fantastic duel against his former team, Chicago Bulls.  Even in a loss, he did not disappoint on the stat sheet to the tune of: 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in 40 minutes. Butler has been the focal point in Tom Thibodeau’s offense while surrounded by other superstar athletes Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.  In the last three games, Butler has scored 30+ points and has scored 20+ in his last ten.  He’s getting to the free-throw line about seven times per game and shooting 86% this season.  This season has been no different for Butler defensively, as he is averaging two steals per game to go along with offensive averages of 22.6 PPG, 5.4 RBG, and 5.1 APG.  Against the lowly Sacramento Kings, and back home in Minnesota, there is no reason to believe Butler can not produce numbers near his average, if not better.

Clint Capela (DraftKings $7,700/FanDuel $8,100)

The Houston Rockets are the 2nd best team in the Western Conference, behind only the Golden State Warriors.  Some might even say the Rockets could matchup with the Warriors and dethrone the former champs.  One thing is for sure about the Rockets; they love to shoot the three.  They feature some of the top players in the NBA such as James Harden and Chris Paul, along with 3-pt shooters Eric Gordon, Gerald Green, Ryan Anderson, and P.J. Tucker.  One player left off that list of shooters is my pick for this game on Sunday, Clint Capela.  The 6’10” Capela cleans up missed shots at a ridiculous rate averaging a career high 3.6 offensive rebounds/game and career high 7.8 defensive rebounds/game.  Capela’s FG% this season is .657 and is putting about 14.4 points/game.  He is a double-double threat every game he is on the court.  He is coming off one of his best performances as a professional with 23 points and 25 rebounds.  Defensively, Capela is averaging one steal and two blocks.  As long as he stays out of foul trouble, he could be up for another big game as they take on the Mavericks playing their second game of a back-to-back.

PG/SG C.J. McCollum (DraftKings $6,700/FanDuel $7,000)

McCollum does most of his fantasy damage scoring points, and so far this season, he is averaging 21.6 PPG. He does most of his scoring from around 15 feet from the basket, however, McCollum’s 3-point percentage is the best of his career at .425.  In his last 10 games, he has averaged 32.6 FPPG.  It may be a tough matchup against rookie Donovan Mitchell and veteran Ricky Rubio, but once McCollum gets going, there is no slowing him down.  He did not shoot well the first time these two teams met in November going 6-20 but still managed 16 points and 10 rebounds.  I expect him to step up to the challenge this time around and put up some solid numbers.
