DraftKings Week 15 Strategy Guide

With only a few more weeks left of football for us to cling to, we are down to the last chances to squeeze some DraftKings cash out of the year. The slates are starting to become a little more wacky with the holiday season and now Saturday games. With only eleven games on the main slate Sunday it is imperative that I make as little errors as possible.

Last week went pretty well for me only really missing out with DeMarco Murray who was brutal and A.J. Green, who was not targeted nearly enough. I also was not on some of the big point producers, like Rod Smith and Trey Burton. I would be happy to reproduce a similar result.

Quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger $6,700-In one of the most anticipated games of the season the Steelers face off with the Patriots. Big Ben has been on a tear as of late and the total in Vegas for this game is in the mid fifties. There should be points and I feel the Pats will be leading forcing Big Ben to pass to keep up.

Cam Newton $6,400-Cam Newton has been playing much better lately and has a great matchup this week. Since he has been running more, he also has a solid floor again.

Blake Bortles $5,700-Bortles has come around these last few weeks and there is also the possibility that Leonard Fournette could sit. The Texans secondary continues to let wide outs run freely making Bortles a great option this week.

Nick Foles $5,500-One issue this week is that all the top targets I like are very expensive so the only way to fit these guys in is to find cheap options. Cue Nick Foles. In his first official start this year he draws the Giants and could be poised to help win you your week.

DeShone Kizer $5,000-Kizer was a target for me last week and it worked out okay. With the offensive weapons he now has, he is a good option when he has the good matchups. The Ravens are generally a good defense, but were torched against the Steelers without Jimmy Smith.

Running Back

Le’Veon Bell $9,300-The top option this week and most expensive. He truly is a great fantasy option with his ability to run and catch. All of his skills should be on display this week.

Todd Gurley $8,300-Another top running back who has become game flow independent is Todd Gurley. The Ram’s offense runs through him.

Kenyan Drake $5,800-It is hard to believe Drake is so cheap this week, because of that I think his ownership will be high. As it should be. He like the first two guys I mentioned can do it all.

Alex Collins $5,000-He looks the part. He has a punishing running style and seems to earn all his yards the hard way. The Browns have not been very good stopping the run and I do not expect them to stop Collins.

Latavius Murray $4,900-He has sort of a dream matchup at home with the Bengals. The Bengals will be without Vontaze Burfict and Murray should be able to run right down the Bengals throat.

Jonathan Stewart $4,100-Stewart is coming off his best game of the year and sees a bad Packers defense this week.

James White $3,600-In what should be a back and forth score fest, White could be a cheap target who may get five plus catches.

Wide Reciever

Antonio Brown $9,100-I think the Patriots will try everything they can to slow Brown down. I do not think they will be successful, but the extra attention may make others stray away from the other most expensive target.

Michael Thomas $7,400-The Saint’s top wide receiver finally delivered on his high price tag last week and is poised to repeat this week against the Jets.

Josh Gordon $6,800-The Raven’s top corner Jimmy Smith is out again and they really missed him last week versus the Steelers. Flash Gordon gets a shot to take advantage of this same matchup and I am on it.

Jordy Nelson $6,300-Aaron Rodgers is back and there is not anyone more pumped about that than Jordy. His BFF Qb is back and hopefully makes Jordy relevant again in a plus matchup.

Marquise Goodwin $6,000-One of my favorite new players to root for, he has excelled taking over as the number one for the 49ers. He and Jimmy G. seem to have  good chemistry also. Goodwin is a bit more expensive than I want to pay for his services, yet he has clearly earned it.

Stefon Diggs $5,800-Kyle Rudolph is out and while Adam Thielen should see an increased target value as well I prefer Diggs.

Robert Woods $5,700-This will be Woods first game back and I fully expect Jared Goff to utilize his favorite deep threat.

Jamison Crowder $5,600-I would expect Patrick Peterson to shadow Josh Doctson and that would give Jamison Crowder ample opportunity to earn us points.

Sterling Shepard $5,200-He cannot have a worse week than last week. I am hoping he is healthy and ready to explode in a game where the Eagles should be leading.

Dede Westbrook $5,100-Westbrook has been getting the targets that Marquise Lee gets and is a little cheaper than him this week. As I mentioned with Bortles, this Texans defense has been bad.

Nelson Agholor $4,400-The most consistent Eagle’s wide out so far has been Nelson Agholor. He definitely has the speed to get past this defense.

Will Fuller V $3,500-The Jags are a terrible matchup and I do not know the exact status of DeAndre Hopkins. The Texans will need to pass and I doubt he is gonna be this cheap again, so it is worth the gamble for me.

Gronk1

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski $7,300-The Steelers are listed as good at stopping the tight end. Unfortunately, Gronk is not just a tight end, he is a freak. He has killed the Steelers each time they have played and I can see myself paying up to see him do it again.

Zach Ertz $6,000-He has been cleared to return in what used to be the easiest plug and play matchup in the NFL. Don’t get cute here. Ertz should help his new quarterback this week with easy completions.

Charles Clay $3,000-I was hoping for a good game out of Clay last week until we had a snow game. Think he is a viable option to use along with the next few guys to help make way for some more expensive options.

Ricky Seals-Jones $3,000-He has been playing well and should see an uptick in volume with Jermaine Gresham ruled out.

Jesse James $2,900-If the Patriots focus all their attention on Antonio Brown, James can be a nice target for Big Ben.

Defense and Special Teams

Saints $3,900-I liked the Broncos versus the Jets last week and the Saints get a much worse version of that team this week with Bryce Petty at the helm.

Redskins $2,800-The Cardinals are all kinds of banged up, would not be surprised if the Redskins win this game with ease at home.

Dolphins $2,700-Looked great last week against the high powered Pats and get a much worse offense this week.
