Streamin and Dreamin: Fantasy Playoffs QB Streamers

49ers Jimmy Garoppolo

Its go time! If you are in need of fantasy playoffs QB streamers, boy are you in a great spot. There are a few options that can help you this week.

There were several injuries at the postion and other QBs in bad spots. Matthew Stafford left the game a week ago with an injured throwing hand. Dak Prescott is also dealing with a hand injury on his throwing hand. Tyrod Taylor left a week ago forcing Nathan Peterman to finish the game.

Dont sit Russell Wilson this week for any of the names below. Derek Carr, Andy Dalton, and Jameis Winston are floating around in some leagues and make a ton of sense this week. If you need help beyond that, here are some names to target.

Jimmy Garoppolo | QB | San Francisco 49ers
17% Owned on Yahoo!

I love me some Garoppolo this week. In his first start with 49ers he showed a lot against a Bears defense that has been strong this season, especially at home. He threw for almost 300 yards on 37 attempts in a neutral game script. Garoppolo was able find Marquise Goodwin and Trent Taylor consistently going 14/14 on targets to those pass catchers.

This week his on the road again but gets to face a Texans defense that has been torched all season. They have allowed the second most fantasy points per game (19.1) to opposing QBs. Look for Jimmy G to have a QB1 season and flirt with a top 5 week at the position.

Josh McCown | QB | New York Jets
44% Owned on Yahoo!

The fact that Josh McCown is still less than 50% owned is criminal. He is QB 7 on the season. Per Ben Cummins, McCown has more passing TDs than Drew Brees, Derek Carr, Matt Ryan and Cam Newton among others. He is also leading the league in rushing TDs (5) at the position.

This week he faces the Broncos in Denver. Some may want to avoid this matchup because “it’s the Broncos at Denver.” The same defense that has allowed double digit passing TDs in each of the past five weeks. The same defense that has allowed 230 passing yards or more in four of the last five games. The game where they didn’t? Andy Dalton had 3 passing TDs.

McCown should feast again this week. Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse are both great plays again this week. Also, don’t be surprised if we see an Austin Seferian-Jenkins re-emergence this week.

DeShone Kizer | QB | Cleveland Browns
4% Owned on Yahoo!

Those in deeper leagues can take a look at DeShone Kizer this week. He will have Josh Gordon who looked good in his first game back a week ago. Corey Coleman, Kenny Britt, and David Njoku provide the most complete group pass catchers they have had all season.

This week the Browns are home to face a Packers defense that struggles against the pass. They have allow double-digit passing TDs in three of the last five games. Opposing QBs have thrown for 270 yards or more in four of the last five.

Kizer also provides the ability to use his legs to add to his potential. He is tied with McCown, Mariota, Cam and Dak for the NFL lead in rushing TDs.
