NFL Week 10 Picks Against the Spread

Veteran's day celebration in New York

Happy Veteran’s Day! The dreaded week 9 bye week has come and gone, bringing new life into the slate of games against the spread. NFL Week 10 Picks Against the Spread gives you three teams to target.

We have 4 teams on bye this week: Baltimore, Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Oakland.

Oakland pulled off the win last week as did the Rams – my Broncos pick ended up being laughable. I’m done with two things on the season: picking the Broncos to cover and picking against the Eagles.

There are some crazy lines out there this week with all of the injuries that have happened in the first half of this season. The Bears are 6-point favorites against Green Bay, the Saints are 3-point favorites on the Road in Buffalo (5-3), and the Texans are getting as many points as the Browns (+11.5 vs. LAR & DET, respectively).

ATS Record: 15-12

These spreads were taken from http://sportsbook.ag as of 11/11/17.

New York Jets -2.5 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Jets are still better than people think and the Buc’s have all but given up this season. It’s all over the news, Mike Evans is out, Jameis is out, and this team isn’t trying to win. With most teams in the NFL, I would be preaching the same thing if you were 4-5 sitting at the bottom of your division like the Jets are. But this is the Jets we are talking about. No other team that has no shot at making a run in the playoffs would still try to win like they do. The Jets should take this game easily, giving Fitzmagic time in the 4th to get his garbage-time stats for those DFS players out there.

Indianapolis Colts +10 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have came on very strong since Roethlisberger’s 5-INT game back in week 5 against the Jaguars. They are also coming off a bye week with plenty of time to rest, recover, and gameplan for this struggling Indy team. However, this Indy team has put up solid performances back-to-back and is great against the spread at home. In their last 16 home games, they are 13-3 ATS when getting points. Indy beat Houston last week and kept it very close with the Bengals two weeks ago. Neither of those teams are as good as the Steelers right now, but I don’t see the Steelers blowing the Colts out in their own home. I have a gut feeling that Bryant returning this week is going to throw a wrench into this beautiful rhythm the Steelers offense is in right now. Until seeing how he blends back in, I’m going to take the double-digit home line and root for the underdogs.

Buffalo Bills +3 vs. New Orleans Saints

Buffalo is undefeated at home and the Saints are notoriously worse on the road – especially in cold weather. The weather is sitting at a toasty 40 degrees for a high right now not including the wind that is prevalent in Buffalo. Kelvin Benjamin is expected to debut the same game that Tyrod gets his favorite target back: Charles Clay. McCoy is coming off a dud and will be looking for revenge. McCoy is a big play waiting to happen and the one caveat of the Saints’ improved defense this year is that they still give up big plays. I like the Bills to win this game outright.
