Snaps Per Minute Week 8 to 1 2017

Snaps Per Minute Week 8 to 1 2017 report covers players like running backs, wide receivers and tight ends in a team’s lineup.  A majority of snaps are going to what players and which ones are in line to produce statistically weekly in fantasy football. The Snaps per Minute of Possession report will help you: identify the early leaders for such production.

Identify the early leaders for such production.

Identify Weekly Change at the Team, Positional and Player Levels

The Snap Report can be a positive indicator because it’s easier for players to score more when given the opportunity.

Conversely, the weekly ‘Snap Report’ can identify when players fall out of favor or when game flow or player movement occurs due to injuries.

It’s useful to compare the weekly snap leaders to rushing attempt leaders and target leaders to get a feel for how a player is used for fantasy football purposes. See other reports

Team Level Snaps Per Minute

This is a data “Snapshot” of each teams activities and speed of play. The Avg Team Snaps/Minute give insight into the team’s speed. A highly involved player on a fast team is worth knowing!

SF. CLE, ARI, MIN, NE, TB, HOU, and LAC are the Fastest NFL teams through week 8. Again key players in those teams are being given more opportunity.

The slowest teams (CAR, KC, PHI, NYJ, CIN, WAS, and PIT) certainly have key players but they must be more efficient to overcome the slow team pace.

Players from slower teams that are highly ranked may be worth more than thought. Dynasty players take note here!

Seasonal Analysis of Changes in Team Speed

Faster Teams might give players more chances to score! I present all NFL team’s:

Weeks 6 to 8 Team Speed (Snaps Per Min)

vs

Week 3 to 5 Games Snaps per Minutes

The change metric this week measures the global change in team speed! OAK has sped up by 0.74 as well as CAR moving up by 0.341 Snaps per Minutes.

Can this mean more fantasy goodness or the uptick in speed a product of poor team scoring?

Note the teams who have slowed down so they winning and wish to go into a game slow mode. If you are focused on what happened early in the season and expect it to continue, that may not be likely.

Clearly, NYG, LAC, PIT, MIN, and LAR have slowed down. Now, this data is a mixture of different style of team systems. Is team slowing a signal for higher winning?

Team Average Positional Snaps Per Minute and Team Usage.

Given an 8 Week Window, we have a good idea now of how teams will use their positions in terms of snaps per minute!

I have that data color-coded and nicely presented!  Waiver Wire Tie Breaker and Trade Analysis.

Tend to use players whose team has a nice level of usage for that position!

ie BAL TE! Find the others using this data!

TEAM vs Positional Speed in Snaps per Minute

Use these tables to determine what teams are faster at using their RB, TE, and WRs. Faster could equal more chances to score! The % Change focuses on the short term while the average looks across the entire season. I have included a nice visual view of this data to further burn into your thinking!

Running Backs

NOTE RB Highest Speed and Usage Changes (Last 3 Games vs Early Season Weeks 3 to 5 Games)

WAS, TEN, IND, NO, and GB had seen an uptick in RB usage!  While the lowest teams are TB, LAR, NYG, CLE, and BAL.

Why the change? Be cautious on those teams that are on the low end!

TIGHT ENDs

NOTE TEs Highest Speed Changes were found in NYJ, CAR, PIT, TB, and CHI

NYG, BAL, LAC, LAR, and JAX are the slowest teams by recent change

I remain worried about many of the TEs from these teams!

Wide Receivers

NOTE WRs Highest Speed Changes were found in KC, IND, DEN, OAK, MIA, and CAR.

Note the Benjamin Trade might open up for WRs on CAR!

Caution on NE, MIN, HOU, LAC, and PIT What is going on in these teams?
