Week 8 QB Streamers: Fire Off the Red Rifle

Bengals Andy Dalton

Welcome to Week 8 QB Streamers where it’s time to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Carson Palmer and Jay Cutler joined Aaron Rodgers as QBs that will miss extended time due to injury. Players like Marcus Mariota, Jared Goff and Eli Manning are all on bye. Who can help your fantasy team win this week if you are searching for QB help?

Andy Dalton vs Indianapolis Colts

The Cincinnati Bengals and Andy Dalton were a mess a week ago on the road against the Steelers. This week however things should go much smoother. Not only does he get to return home but Dalton gets to face the Indianapolis Colts. A defense that is allowing 19.2 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs which is the 6th worst in the NFL. Indianapolis will also be without Malik Hooker who will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL and MCL.

Look for Dalton to find all of his targets including AJ Green and Tyler Kroft. Kroft by the way is a nice streaming option if you need TE help.

Trevor Siemian at Kansas City Chiefs

It has been rough going for Trevor Siemian and the Broncos offense after a hot start. That said, I expect the passing game to get back on track this week against a Chiefs secondary has been torched this year. DeShaun Watson, Kirk Cousins and Derek Carr, who got right against this defense have all put up big fantasy days. They’re allowing 19.6 fantasy points per game, which is 4th worst in the NFL.

A big day is coming for Siemian who should find Demaryius Thomas a ton and get the Broncos offense back on track.

Josh McCown vs Atlanta Falcons

Josh McCown has been a stud the past two weeks who has back to back 20 plus point performances on ESPN standard scoring. This week he is home to face a Falcons defense that has been average allowing 15.1 fantasy points per game this season. Look for McCown to stay hot and throw a bunch this week. Start McCown if you’re digging deep.

C.J. Beathard at Philadelphia Eagles

Another digging deep, real deep option this week is C.J. Beathard. The 49ers rookie will get his second start of the season, this time on the road against the Eagles.

Philadelphia is allowing 18.5 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs this season. They have been worse as of late allowing 20 or more in 4 of last 5 games. Beathard will take some trust but the opportunity should be there. Carson Wentz and company should produce a ton of points and force the 49ers to throw to keep up.
