Pitchers

Robbie Ray (ARI vs. COL)

Moneyline: -155

Over/Under: 9

FanDuel: $8,800/DraftKings: $8,200

Ray could really turn the corner this season if he can be consistent and take advantage of plus opportunities. He has one here tonight against the Rockies at home. Sure, Chase Field is a hitter’s park, but there’s something with the Rockies’ first game or two away from home after a homestand. Hopefully, this stays true and their hitters are out of sync. Ray has almost 10 K’s per nine innnings this season, and this is what makes him appealing for DFS. He’s also pitched into the sixth inning in each of his four starts, which can put him in line for the win as long as the D-backs have and can hold the lead.

Jerad Eickhoff (PHI @ LAD)

Moneyline: +160

Over/Under: 7.5

FanDuel: $8,000/DraftKings: $8,600

The Phillies made a cross country trip for this series against the Dodgers. While that’s not ideal, opposing pitcher, Kenta Maeda, is having a less than ideal start to the season. He’s giving up a lot homeruns and isn’t going very deep into games. The Phillies offense can capitalize on Maeda’s struggles if it continues tonight. I’ve probably mentioned before, Eickhoff is a pitcher I really like. Three of four starts have been quality starts, but only a 0-1 record to show. Eickhoff’s leaving 82.6% of runners on base and currently has a 9.12 K/9. The Dodgers are striking out about 21% of the time, and have had trouble scoring runs at times this season. Even with Eickhoff projected as the underdog, I think he can come out on top.

Lance Lynn (STL vs. CIN)

Moneyline: -150

Over/Under: 8

FanDuel: $8,000/DraftKings: $7,800

Keeping with pitchers under $9k, Lynn has done well in his last two starts against the Brewers and Pirates. Tonight, he faces the Reds, who have to come back to Earth. They are current in the top seven in MLB in homeruns, runs, RBIs, and stolen bases, but regression should be coming. With this game being played at Busch Stadium, that should help quiet Reds’ bats a bit. Against the Brewers, Lynn was able to induce a 75% ground ball rate. That’s against a team who are leading the majors in homeruns, and he can surely do that again tonight against the Reds.
