2017 Early Dynasty IDP DB Rankings

Byard

The never ending shuffling of DB’s have now been ranked as we approach the NFL Draft & the start of our fantasy football off-season – well, wait is there an off-season? We’re always trying to look for the next man up or a player that’s primed for a big season and a lot of times with DB’s you’re able to just play the wire weekly (if you choose too) but I like some stability; especially in leagues where you have an add limit per week (these do exist) so with my rankings anyone two within the top 25 I think you’ll be in good shape.

In dynasty you’ll be fine going after guys like Bethea and Weddle because although their up there in age, they produce and Bethea seems ageless.  Su’a Cravens will now be moved to safety; which makes him a little more relevant in IDP leagues – so keep an eye on him and he’s potentially a cheap buy right now.  With McDougald out of town now it’s time to target Tandy, he’s a must add.  Mathieu is a risk/reward and his playmaking ability will always keep him afloat near the studs because he is one, just has to NOT injure his damn knee – lets go big fella; 2017 is your year! As long as DET continues to have LB issues, Tavon Wilson will be of value – continue to hold until further notice.

Look for CIN; Shawn Williams to have a standout season as he’ll be hitting his 2nd year as starter – the tackles should continue to increase.  Dark horse sleeper here is BUF new acquisition of Jordan Poyer as the Bills have released Graham, Poyer can step right in his spot and be productive.  I love Jalen Ramsey; that is all (I’d say to go trade for him but it might be pricey) so in that case if you don’t want to afford; go get Bashaud Breeland - stud himself.  I’m not high on Addae as others seem to be, he’s just not that good *shrug* and I’m expecting Chargers to address their safety issues in this draft.  Since the Dolphins released Abdul-Quddus; Michael Thomas has jumped into the sleeper scene. It’s going to be fun fitting in the rookies here; but that’s another day and time.
