NBA DFS: Targets for 3/10

Getty Images

We have a more manageable, 8-game NBA DFS slate for us tonight. There are still injuries and illnesses to monitor, and a few high-priced players to sift through. Even at this time, it looks like there is enough value to fit in a player you want that’s over $10,000. As you’ll see in today’s article, the guard and center positions are ones I really like, but I can’t say the same for the forward positions right now.

We also have a DFS account on Twitter, so be sure to give it a follow!

The picks:

James Harden (HOU @ CHI)

FanDuel: $11,800 (SG)

DraftKings: $ 11,600 (PG/SG)

The last few games have been tough matchups for the Rockets. After their last loss against the Jazz, I think Harden comes up huge tonight against the Bulls. Dwayne Wade will play tonight for the Bulls, which is good news. This game has now has a better chance at staying close. One thing about Harden that’s worrisome on FD are his turnovers. On the other hand, opponents turnover the ball 15.3 times when playing against the Rockets. If Harden can cut down on couple of turnovers and get a steal or two, it should help us get the production we need for his price.

Kemba Walker (CHA vs. ORL)

FanDuel: $8,400 (PG)

DraftKings: $ 8,100 (PG)

Kemba has been such a safe play lately, and it’ll be hard to fade him in cash games. He’s scored more than 40 fantasy points in five games on FD, and more than 43 fantasy points in six games on DK. Kemba’s price point is right in line with what he’s producing, but I can see him putting up 50 against the Magic.

Ricky Rubio (MIN vs. GSW)

FanDuel: $7,100 (PG)

DraftKings: $6,900 (PG)

Rubio’s price has come up, especially on DK. He’s been playing great in his last two games, and I expect that to continue tonight against the Warriors. The Warriors are coming off of a tough loss at home, and are already back on the road after being on a 5-game road trip. Much like earlier this week with Dennis Schroder, I think Rubio’s matchup tonight can only help him. This game looks to be the fastest pace game of the night, during a rough stretch of traveling and more importantly, without Kevin Durant.

Robin Lopez (CHI vs. HOU)

FanDuel: $4,800 (C)

DraftKings: $ 4,500 (C)

Lopez is in play for me and to be honest, it’s really more of a gut call rather than reasons I can actually prove. He’s under $5,000 on both sites so it won’t take much for him to reach value. I’m not worried about Wade being back because Lopez’s usage is actually about the same, at 17.8%, than without him, where it’s at 17.9%.

Also take into consideration:

Yogi Ferrell (DAL @ BKN) – on both sites

FanDuel: $5,200 (PG)

DraftKings: $5,200 (PG)

Seth Curry (DAL @ BKN) – on FD

FanDuel: $6,200 (SG)

DraftKings: $ 6,700 (SG)

Andrew Wiggins (MIN vs. GSW) – on both sites

FanDuel: $7,700 (SF)

DraftKings: $ 7,400 (SF)

Mason Plumlee (DEN vs. BOS) – on both sites if Nikola Jokic is out. On FD if Jokic plays.

FanDuel: $5,600 (C)

DraftKings: $5,900 (C)

Justin Hamilton (BKN @ DAL) – on both sites if he starts for Brook Lopez

FanDuel: $3,500 (C)

DraftKings: $ 3,000 (C)
