NBA DFS: Targets for 3/6
There’s a huge 12-game slate for us to digest for NBA DFS tonight. Even with all of these games, the matchups aren’t the greatest. This is where your ability to interpret news that breaks and your thought process will be key to your lineup construction.
Dennis Schroder (ATL vs. GS)
FanDuel: $6,400 (PG)
DraftKings: $6,400 (PG)
Schroder had a nice game against the Pacers yesterday, and I like tonight’s game for him against the Warriors. The matchup for this game is a high-paced one, giving the Hawks more opportunities to touch the ball. A worry for me are turnovers. Schroder had just one yesterday, but against Stephen Curry, he’ll have to be more careful.
Jimmy Butler (CHI @ DET)
FanDuel: $9,100 (SF)
DraftKings: $8,600 (SG/SF)
It’s always great when injury news comes out early. We already know Dwayne Wade will be out for tonight’s game and that makes Butler a whole lot more appealing than he has been of late. He hasn’t been making the value you’re looking for, so an ideal spot to roster Butler is one where a starter is out. We have that tonight, and a much friendlier price on DK. Butler’s upside without Wade can be seen here: nbawowy.com.
Andrew Wiggins (MIN vs. POR)
FanDuel: $7,900 (SF)
DraftKings: $7,600 (SF)
Wiggins is a tournament play because of he’s volatility, but when his shot is falling, the upside is definitely there. He’s worth a shot tonight in a lineup against the Blazers, whose defensive rating is 27th in the NBA. Wiggins has had better fantasy nights when he’s getting rebounds, more of which are on the defensive end. The Blazers are currently allowing the ninth most defensive rebounds to their opponents. If you’re looking for a way to differentiate your lineup, Wiggins is a player to target.
Dario Saric (PHI vs. MIL)
FanDuel: $7,400 (PF)
DraftKings: $7,400 (PF/C)
The 76ers are short-handed, and Saric has been so consistent, with more than 34 FD points in 9 out of 10 games, and more than 38 DK points during that same time. During this span, he’s averaging about 31 minutes per game, so his playing time is secure. It’s a toss up as to what the Bucks will do with their front court, but regardless, Saric should be able to keep up his production.
Jusuf Nurkic (POR @ MIN)
FanDuel: $5,900 (C)
DraftKings: $6,800 (C)
Nurkic is getting the playing time and he’s been making the most of it. His price has spiked rather quickly as a result. Nurkic is certainly more appealing because of his price on FanDuel if you need the salary relief, but no one would blame you for wanting to play him in your DK lineups either. In his six games with the Blazers, Nurkic is averaging: 14.2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 14.5 points.
Also take into consideration:
Patrick Beverley (HOU @ SAS) – on DK
FanDuel: $5,600 (PG)
DraftKings: $5,000 (PG/SG)
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET vs. CHI) – preferably on FD
FanDuel: $5,300 (SG)
DraftKings: $5,800 (SG)
LeBron James (CLE vs. MIA) – on both sites
FanDuel: $11,000 (SF)
DraftKings: $11,200 (SF)
FanDuel: $6,300 (SF)
DraftKings: $6,000 (SF/PF)
Marvin Williams (CHA vs. IND) – preferably on FD
FanDuel: $5,200 (PF)
DraftKings: $5,700 (PF)
