NBA DFS: Targets for 3/3

HighTech Caller

After a short slate last night, we have a full 10-game slate tonight for NBA DFS.

The plays:

Eric Bledsoe (PHO vs. OKC)

FanDuel: $8,800 (PG)

DraftKings: $8,500 (PG)

In what should be the highest-scoring and fastest-paced game of the night, Bledsoe is one of my favorite targets. Price considered, his salary is comfortable on a night where there are many ways to spend up. The Suns are on the second home game of a back-to-back. Bledsoe only played 25 minutes last night, and should be fine tonight against the Thunder.

Otto Porter (WAS vs. TOR)

FanDuel: $6,300 (SF)

DraftKings: $5,600 (SF/PF)

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t like to roster Porter. After his last game, it might be the right time to ponder it. His DK price is more manageable, and taking the chance on him could pay off. Porter’s last game was disappointing, and there is no way he could do worse, or at least we hope. If he gets 28 DK points, I’d be fine with that.

Kristaps Porzingis (NYK @ PHI)

FanDuel: $6,700 (PF)

DraftKings: $6,600 (PF/C)

Things have gotten interesting with Porzingis now having center eligibility on DK. While we probably won’t be using him in that slot tonight, it’s nice to have that flexibility available. Porzingis was a rebound shy of a double-double last game out, and I feel confident in rostering him tonight against the 76ers, with Willy Hernangomez being questionable to start the day.

Alan Williams (PHO vs. OKC)

FanDuel: $4,900 (C)

DraftKings: $4,400 (C)

If you’re a game log watcher, Williams has probably caught your eye. The numbers he’s been putting up are impressive. With his price below $5,000 on both sites, he’s a nice value play. It’s a small sample size, but his rebounds aren’t consistent and Williams needs to score real points if he’s not getting rebounds. The Suns will have a slight edge with OKC on a road back-to-back, and I think he’ll get enough minutes to make value.

DeMarcus Cousins (NOP vs. SAS)

FanDuel: $9,900 (C)

DraftKings: $9,200 (PF/C)

Cousins is under $10,000 on both sites, and that’s something we haven’t seen in a couple of months. His price on DK is something that can’t be ignored. If you’re looking for 5x value, you’ll only need 46 points on DK. Sure, the Spurs are a great defensive team, but it’s going to be really tough to pass up on Boogie’s salary, because we don’t know when we’ll see it this low again.
