NBA DFS: Targets for 2/3
We have a nice 9-game slate for NBA DFS tonight. There are a lot of high scoring games and several of them have spreads of 5 or less. Always be sure to keep an eye out for injury news. There are a few $10k+ to roster, so any salary relief will surely help.
Isaiah Thomas (BOS vs. LAL)
FanDuel: $10,500 (PG)
DraftKings: $10,000 (PG)
Thomas has been crushing lately, getting you no less than 50 fantasy points on both FD and DK in the last three games. Tonight, the Celtics are playing at home against the Lakers. With the Lakers on a back-to-back on the road, this is an exceptional matchup for the Celtics going against the worst defensive team in the Association. Last night, John Wall had himself a game versus the Lakers and Thomas certainly can as well.
Jeff Teague (IND @ BKN)
FanDuel: $7,600 (PG)
DraftKings: $7,500 (PG)
My feels haven’t been very good with Teague, so I apologize in advance for this one. What’s in my favor is the matchup against the Nets. I always say the same thing about them: the Nets are able to keep games close so it can stay competitive. The spread is currently at -7, so this game isn’t projected to be a total blowout by Vegas. With that being said, Teague making value while priced in the mid $7k range seems do-able.
Devin Booker (PHO @ SAC)
FanDuel: $6,900 (SG)
DraftKings: $6,800 (SG)
Booker is a tad pricey for me to feel comfortable, but I would play him depending on how my lineup construction goes. He’s been a sure thing for at least 30 fantasy points in the last couple of weeks, and tonight he’s going up against a Kings team that is without Rudy Gay, Omri Casspi, Garrett Temple, and possibly Ty Lawson. Booker has only made two 3-pointers in the last four games, but the Kings allow five per game to the guard positions. If you think he’ll be able to get his 3-point shot to fall, it’s a nice added bonus on DK for Booker.
Wilson Chandler (DEN vs. MIL)
FanDuel: $6,300 (SF)
DraftKings: $5,700 (SF/PF)
Danilo Gallinari has already been ruled out, and Nikola Jokic will play. It’s safe to assume that Chandler will take Gallinari’s starting spot. This season, he’s seen the most minutes with Gallinari off the court, as seen in this link from nbawowy.com. There’s also a chance that Emmanuel Mudiay is out too, so that could also bump up Chandler’s usage.
Marc Gasol (MEM @ OKC)
FanDuel: $8,700 (C)
DraftKings: $7,800 (C)
I especially like Gasol on DK tonight, as he’s $900 less there than on FD. Gasol likes to attempt 3-pointers, with 3.7 attempts per game. The Thunder allow 2.2 3-pointers to opposing centers, so Gasol is another player tonight that could get some extra points from these shots made on DK. Memphis will have to play at a higher pace tonight against the Thunder, so there will be more scoring opportunities.
Also take into consideration:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL @ DEN) – on both sites
FanDuel: $10,900 (SG)

DraftKings: $5,800 (SG)
Evan Fournier (ORL vs TOR) – on both sites
FanDuel: $5,000 (SG)
DraftKings: $5,000 (SG)
Kenneth Faried (DEN vs. MIL) – preferably on DK
FanDuel: $6,900 (PF)
DraftKings: $6,000 (PF)
Al Horford (BOS vs. LAL) – on both sites
FanDuel: $7,400 (C)
DraftKings: $6,800 (C)
Thon Maker (MIL @ DEN) – on both sites
FanDuel: $3,700 (PF)
DraftKings: $3,000 (C)
