NBA DFS Playbook 4/06
The NBA DFS Playbook season continues tonight Wednesday, April 6, 2016. An 8-game slate is upon us tonight as some premier superstars take the court. Target players opposing the Nets, Pelicans and Knicks. Best of luck tonight guys, lets go out and win.
**These prices/values come from DraftKings.com. However, all players mentioned are recommended picks regardless of DFS gaming platform.
Play of the Night: James Harden ($10,800)
This pick is truly a no-brainer. Harden is the most expensive player on the slate and the most likely to have a monster game. With every single game still very important to a Houston playoff race, Harden should look to dominate against the flurry of Dallas guards. I definitely expect 60+ fantasy points tonight in a high scoring affair. Harden has true triple-double potential in this one.
Isaiah Thomas ($7,800) – Isaiah Thomas is such a safe pick. Honestly, if you are looking to build a bankroll and you mostly play head to head and 50/50 cash games, this is the guy you want. Thomas is as consistent as they come, and gets a relatively easy matchup with the Pelicans in town.
Tim Frazier ($4,600) – Sadly, Tim Frazier is probably the best active player on the Pelicans roster at the moment. With this in mind, you almost have to roster him. He will take a ton of shots tonight, run some point, and most importantly give it 100% as he is somewhat auditioning for a permanent roster spot next season. At only 4,600 on DraftKings he is exceeding value with ease.
James Ennis ($3,500) – Similar to Tim Frazier, Ennis is audioting for a roster spot in the NBA next season. The Pelicans will allow him to showcase his skills during the final games of the season. Ennis can certainly play at this level, it is just a matter of being in the right system. If he can get decent looks at the basket tonight, he should have no issue surpassing his close to minimum value.
Jordan Hamilton ($4,200) – Notice a theme with the New Orleans Pelicans tonight? Yeah, I’m all in on their guys playing a meaningless game against Boston on the road. Like the rest of his teammates, Hamilton should have a great opportunity to surpass his salary and provide great relief to your spendings on the slate.
Tobias Harris ($6,200) – Revenge? It’s possible that Tobias Harris has sour feelings towards the Magic for trading him. He seemed very supportive at the deadline when the deal was made, and took it very well. While Harris is by no means a lock to score 50 fantasy points tonight, he represents a very safe cash game play you can rely on. His minutes are a lock, and the Pistons continue to play hard down the stretch.
Markieff Morris ($5,300) – John Wall is questionable for tonight’s game against Brooklyn. While many users may immediately pivot to Bradley Beal, I do not see why Kief could have a much higher usage rate. This is a guy who could average 15 and 8 rather easily with upside of being a 20-10 guy. If he provides 20-10 for the Wizards tonight, you’ll rejoice by having him in your lineups as his salary is super mid-tier.
Andre Drummond ($7,500) – Drummond is a sure lock tonight for all of my lineups. He has had an extremely dominant season and still has plenty of room for growth. Tonight, Dre gets a generous matchup against the Orlando Magic. With Orlando out of the playoff race, it would not surprise me if they continue to audition players for next season and limit the number of minutes their core group plays. There will be plenty of missed jumpers for Drummond to snag making him the top Center play of the evening.
