NBA DFS Playbook – 12/11

Draymond Green

It’s always nice to have a break from a night of NBA DFS to just sit back, and enjoy the games. That’s exactly what I did for last night’s four game slate. Tonight is a different story on the hardwood with twelve games slated for this evening.  I recommend on a full slate like tonight to just stick to some GPP’s because of the high amount of variance throughout each competition. I’ve still got some cash game plays, but most of my picks are centered around that this evening.

*all of my prices are according to DraftKings

Point Guard

John Wall ($9,100)

This is the most obvious plays of the night, but for good reason. Wall has hit over 50 fantasy points in four of his last six games. If you’re not playing in cash games, you’re throwing your money away.

Patty Mills ($3,600)

Tony Parker is out due to old age tonight. Pop is giving him and the other vets a rest, so Mills makes for a great play tonight in tournaments. It won’t take much for him to hit value and he’s playing against the Lakers. That’s a strong recipe for success tonight.

Shooting Guard

C.J. McCollum ($6,900)

I love this game tonight from a DFS prospective. It should have quick pace and high scoring offenses, which means high fantasy totals across the board. McCollum makes for a cheap play that has a much higher ceiling than normal. Damian Lillard will get his, but don’t expect that much of a drop off with CJ.

O.J. Mayo($5,400)

As long as Jason Kidd keep rolling Mayo out there, I’ll keep rostering him. He’ll have his hands full tonight with Kyle Lowry and company, but he should see the minutes to get him the production you want in your lineups. He makes for a sneaky GPP play tonight.

Small Forward

LeBron James ($10,000)

I love LeBron tonight in all formats. He’s got the safest floor out of any player, and he can put up 60+ fantasy points on any given night. The Magic have a history of letting LeBron run wild on them, and I think he’s the best play of the night. Even though he is pricey, he still isn’t the highest priced guy out there and he’s been consistently hitting value.

Andre Iguodala ($5,200)

No Barnes tonight means he’ll get around 30 minutes. At a position that will be stacked with Paul George and LeBron, he makes for a great contrarian play that will get the volume you want to see in your lineup. With Klay Thompson hobbled as well, Iggy should get more opportunities to score than normal.

Power Forward

Draymond Green ($8,200)

See Andre Iguodala. Plus Jared Sullinger doesn’t play defense.

Trey Lyles ($3,200)

This is my GPP play of the night. Lyles isn’t going to be rostered anywhere and I think he could be the difference between cashing in a tournament or not. His salary is nothing and allows you to stack with a bunch of big name guys. It wont take much for him to hit value and he should be able to grab boards down low with everyone focusing on Derrick Favors.

Center

Marcin Gortat ($6,000)

GOATat as I like to call him has been money for me when he plays. He was out the country for a couple days, but he picked up right where he left off when he returned to the states. The Pelicans don’t have the muscle power down low to keep Gortat off the glass. He should be a lock for 15/8 as his floor.

Alex Len ($5,000)

I like Len only if Tyson Chandler is out tonight. He’s coming off a huge night and that should help his confidence going forward. He’s got the length to grab boards tonight  and Portland frontcourt isn’t scaring anybody.
