Week 14 DFS Bargain Finds on Own the Play

Jim Mone - Associated Press

Week 14 DFS Bargain Finds provides a blue light special at every position. It also gives those owners who saw their fantasy football season come to an end last week a chance to keep playing. In most season long leagues, Week 14 brings the playoffs. If you didn’t make the playoffs or even if you did, DFS can provide incentive to keep playing.

There are bargains to be found across the board this week on Own The Play. Who should be in your lineup? Let’s break down the plays!

Jameis Winston Tampa Bay Buccaneers $6,900
vs New Orleans Saints

Jameis Winston is the play this week at quarterback. He gets to face a Saints defense that has been atrocious against the pass. They are allowing over 31 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. They have allowed four more fantasy points a game to the position over the course of the season. Winston also has a full compliment of weapons including Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson and Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Fire up Winston this week and stack him with one or more targets.

Tyrod Taylor Buffalo Bills $6,700
at Philadelphia Eagles

Tyrod Taylor has been playing very well the past two weeks, averaging 28.74 fantasy points per game. This week he is on the road to face an Eagles defense that has been torched by opposing quarterbacks all season. They have allowed 30 plus points a game over the past five weeks. Taylor makes a ton of sense to use if you aren’t using Winston or the $200 savings makes your lineup more appealing.

David Johnson Arizona Cardinals $5,600
vs Minnesota Vikings

David Johnson looked strong in his first start for the Arizona Cardinals. He had 22 carries for 99 yards and found the end zone via the passing game. This week he faces a Minnesota Vikings defense that has had issues stopping the run as of late. They have allowed a 100 yard rusher in last three games. The Cardinals should be able to control this game throughout and allow David Johnson to run wild.

Spencer Ware Kansas City Chiefs $4,700
vs San Diego Chargers

The return of Charcandrick West provides an opportunity to get Spencer Ware at a nice value. Ware lost snaps to West and finished the game with two less carries. However, we saw Ware and West get the same amount of work against this Chargers team three weeks ago and Ware was the far more productive running back. Ware ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns.  He is also going to be getting the goal line work which only increases his value. While some may say “use West and forget the rest,” but I’m in the camp of “using Ware, I dont care.”

AFC East Presents Dynasty Value

Can we trust Watkins again this week in DFS? (Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports)

Sammy Watkins Buffalo Bills $6,000
at Philadelphia Eagles

Sammy Watkins has been going off over the past two weeks putting up 267 yards and 3 touchdowns. This week he gets a tasty matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are 4th in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers over the past 5 weeks and the most points for the season. Watkins has the upside of the elite wide receiving options but at a much more affordable price tag.

Dorial Green-Beckham Tennessee Titans $4,600
at New York Jets

Dorial Green-Beckham had his breakout performance a week ago catching 5 balls for 119 yards and a touchdown. This week presents an opportunity to keep it rolling. The Titans are on the road this week but have a tasty matchup against a Jets defense that has struggled of late. Darrelle Revis has missed time with a concussion and finally made a practice appearance on Wednesday. There is chance he plays Sunday, but I love DGB either way. He is building chemistry with an improving quarterback and his price tags makes too much sense to not play this week.

DeVante Parker Miami Dolphins $3,500
vs New York Giants

An injury to Rishard Matthews and a change in offensive coordinator has finally allowed DeVante Parker to be unleashed on the NFL. He has 7 catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns over the last two weeks. Now he is home for a tasty matchup against a Giants that can be thrown on. Parker provides a ton of upside at a very affordable $3,500.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Is it time for ASJ to rebound? (Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports)

Austin Seferian-Jenkins Tampa Bay Buccaneers $3,800
vs New Orleans Saints

Austin Seferian-Jenkins is the play at tight end this week. While his first game back from injury was not the most awe inspiring effort, he has a chance to remind everyone how good he can be. He gets to face a New Orleans Saints defense that has been torched by the tight end all season, allowing 2 more fantasy points per game than any other defense. The last four weeks they have allowed 17.4 points to Greg Olsen, 15.2 points to Ryan Griffin, 16.4 points to Jordan Reed, and 25 points to Delanie Walker. Stack Winston and ASJ this week for all the fantasy points!

Zach Miller Chicago Bears $2,500
vs Washington Redskins

The Chicago Bears have place Martellus Bennett on season-ending IR. This sets up a golden opportunity to deploy Zach Miller. He has shown the ability in spots to be a reliable tight end option. He will only cost you $2,500 this week which provides a ton of value against a Redskins team that is middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Jay Cutler trusts him and allows Miller to stretch the field. He has four touchdowns in his last 5 games.
