Week 13 NFL Picks Against the Spread

Week 13 NFL Picks Against the Spread features road teams catching too many points, a home underdog that has bite ,and a total that is far too low. The season is quickly coming to an end and the playoffs are around the corner. Teams need to win to get in.

The season has gone well thus far. Im hitting close to 70% of my pick. Eclipsing that mark would make for a fantastic season. Lets find some winners and keep it rolling.

>Season Total 39-19-2
>Upset Alert 7-5

Oakland Raiders +3 vs Kansas City Chiefs

This is a very good spot for the Oakland Raiders. They get to head home after finding their offense a week ago against the Tennessee Titans. They get to face a Chiefs defense that has played much better as of late. We were reminded last week by the Bills that the Chiefs secondary can be thrown on. The Chiefs have been on an impressive run against the spread covering their last 5 games. They had failed to cover the 5 games prior and balance was coming. The Raiders have covered 4 of their last 6 games Give me the team with the better offense who will be catching points at home.

Philadelphia Eagles +9.5 at New England Patriots

It has been an awful two week for the Philadelphia Eagles. Their defense has give up back to back 5 touchdown passing performances to Jameis Winston and Matthew Stafford. This week they face Tom Brady which seems like a slam dunk to continue the streak. However, the Pats are without Dion Lewis, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski. This is not to say Brady will have a bad game. I just expect the Patriots to have a dominant effort that leads them to sitting on the ball in the second half. I expect a ton of run game and punting like we have seen in previous Patriots games. New England wins this game but the Eagles will cover. It may be hard to trust the Eagles offense but they are the right side.

New York Giants vs New York Jets Over 45

This may be my favorite line of the week. The Giants have allowed the most passing yards of any defense in the NFL. They face a Jets passing attack that is loaded. Ryan Fitzpatrick has Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker to find all over the field. I expect the Jets to score a ton of points this week via the pass. On the other side the Giants have Odell Beckham Jr, who is in the best wide receiver in football conversation. He faces a Jets secondary that hasn’t been great even with Darrelle Revis. They will be without his services this week as he sits out with a concussion. This total can go over by halftime or early in the second half. Take the points and enjoy the ride.

Washington Redskins -4.5 vs Dallas Cowboys

The Washington Redskins have been awesome at home all season and are 5-1 in DC. That accounts for all of their wins. They welcome a Cowboys team that is about to collapse. They played awful last time Tony Romo was out, but played hard and hoped to keep the team afloat until he could return. Unfortunately, Dallas lost Romo a week ago and he will miss the rest of the season. The Redskins will be able to move the ball when they have the ball and shouldn’t have a problem slowing down the Matt Cassel led offense. Take the Redskins minus the points this week.

Houston Texans +3 at Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills haven’t seemed to figure out how to put a complete game together all season. On offense, they have pieces that can produce but have been inconsistent in terms of performance and health. The Texans on the other hand started off the season poorly but have really rebounded. The defense has been a big factor in the improvement. The Texans will be able to run the ball with Alfred Blue in this game. The Bills defense has had issues stopping the run of late including Spencer Ware last week who tallied 114 yards rushing. The Texans can not only cover the 3 point spread but should win outright. Take the Texans as they keep rolling.
