Daily Fantasy Basketball Playbook – 11/27

LaMarcus Aldridge

Nothing quite says black Friday like leftover Thanksgiving food, shopping, and NBA DFS, am I right? Well, maybe not the DFS part, but it’s a close third in my book. With 12 games on the hardwood tonight, it’s nice to get back into the swing of things after a night off yesterday. Let’s start the actual weekend off right with some extra cash in out pockets.

*all my prices are according to DraftKings

Point Guard

Chris Paul ($8,900)

I don’t usually like to pay up for Point Guards unless it’s a very enticing matchup. Well, this is about as enticing as it gets. His price tag is way down on DK, and he get’s to go against a banged up Jrue Holiday and Ish Smith. Paul has had four 40+ point fantasy games over his last five as well, so you know he’s been getting it done. You would be correct in assuming that CP3 is my number one play tonight in NBA DFS.

Rajon Rondo ($9,300)

Rondo’s salary is stupid high tonight, but I’m willing to pay up for it if DeMarcus Cousins doesn’t play tonight. That’s the only way I’m willing to spend the cash there. I see him as more of a GPP play anyway.

Shooting Guard

Danny Green ($4,500)

Green will be highly owned tonight with Manu Ginobili out. He normally came off the bench, so expect Green’s minutes to increase with that. I think he makes for a nice GPP play despite his ownership numbers. I want safer and more consistent guys for my cash games, but I understand using him there as well because of his favorable salary.

Gerald Green ($3,300)

I’m going green tonight at the two spot. Luol Deng is out tonight for the Heat, so that means Gerald “I can still jump higher than anyone on stilts” Green will be getting more involved in the offense. He’s a great cheap play that should easily hit value against the Knicks tonight.

Small Forward

LeBron James ($9,900)

He’s the best player not name Stephen Curry. James has a history of lighting up the Bobcats. He’s averaging 28/8/7. Those numbers as a baseline is about where he hit’s value. I don’t think it’s crazy that he’ll exceed those numbers and he makes for a nice play where there isn’t a whole lot at the position tonight.

Jeff Green ($5,100)

I keep going back to Green on most nights when I want to save some cash. He’s been a little inconsistent, but for the most part he’s really outplayed his value and is just now starting to catch up to his price tag. Atlanta is going to be focus on containing Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph tonight and I think Green makes for a sneaky play with upside.

Power Forward

LaMarcus Aldridge ($7,800)

I like Aldridge as a cash  game play tonight. Tim Duncan is out tonight as well and did not travel with the team. I guess Pop felt like that higher altitude was something the old bodies of Duncan Ginobili couldn’t handle. Aldridge has been solid lately and will get even more minutes tonight. He’s about as safe as you’ll get tonight.

Nene Hilario ($3,900)

I know this is more of a GPP play, but Nene has played really well since coming back from injury. The Celtics are undersized down low, and he’ll have an opportunity to grab a ton of boards and score in the paint. Kris Humphries has shown that he’s lost what little offensive ability he has, and Nene’s minutes are trending up which is exactly the kind of play you want in a tournament.

Center

Andre Drummond  ($9,100)

The matchup isn’t the best for Drummond, but he’s been lights out for most of the season. His salary is trending downward, but his production has stayed pretty much the same. With so much other value out there tonight, I love using him in my cash lineups.

DeAndre Jordan ($7,200)

The Pelicans have played a lot better as of late (to my sanity), but they still have trouble defending the pain and grabbing defensive rebounds. Omer Asik still doesn’t play full time minutes, and Anthony Davis wont be able to out-muscle Jordan in the paint. He should have a nice stat line with a smaller Pelicans team. His price tag has gone down some while it really shouldn’t have. I like a Jordan/Paul mini-stack if you’re playing cash games tonight.
