FantasyDraft Week 2 Bargain Buys

Carson-Palmer

After a crazy first week in which hopefully you won some cash it is time to start looking forward to the new week and what better way to start than with some week 2 bargain buys! There were some really high scoring cheap options last week but there were also plenty of duds. Trying to navigate through the rubbish to find the cheap gold can make or break your chances of winning big.

Having two Flex spots on FantasyDraft.com makes balancing your budget more important than ever and also opens up more positions as potentials for bargains. This week brings an added increase on finding the bargains especially at QB, RB and WR slots because Gronk is back in the main pool and he is a must for me in all line-up. Unfortunately he takes up a big chunk of cash but with Kelce not available due to having a Thursday night game Gronk becomes by far the best tight end option.

Carson Palmer $13,500 ARI @ CHI: Palmer was fantastic in his return from injury and now he gets the Bears bad defence. Ok the Bears held up against Green Bay last week but the Packers were not clicking without Jordy. However this Arizona offence is clicking and the whole thing will roll behind Palmer and his arm as should your GPP lineup at this price.

Danny Woodhead $8,300 SD @ CIN : Woodhead is the man for San Diego when the game gets tough. Rivers has openly admitted he trusts him most in the redzone and Woodhead is the passing down back so should be able to make good in the PPR format. Woodhead is a sneaky player who can squeeze out big yards for a really cheap price in all fantasy formats this season.

Carlos Hyde $9,900 SF @ PIT: We saw last week that the 49ers philosophy was to run run and run some more. That could be tested this week by a high octane Steelers offence that won’t fail like the Vikes did. Hyde could potentially be a three down back if Bush is struggling and he will definitely be the goal line back. Add in  the success the Patriots had last week with a lesser running back and I am fully expecting Hyde to have a really impressive week even with the long trip.

Stevie Johnson $8,200 SD @ CIN: Johnson was superb last week receiving a lot of short looks from Rivers and making good with them. Even if the scoring is lower Rivers can use Johnson as an extended run game and that should provide him valuable PPR points.

Donte Moncrief  $9,800 NYJ @ IND: This is a potential gold mine but ironically it could actually be better if Hilton plays. I expect the Jets to match up their top two corners on Hilton and Johnson which could leave Moncrief to run wild as the #3. If Revis locks down one guys and Cromartie takes the other Moncrief could be a monster for targets. As an addition here Phillip Dorsett ($7,200) could be a sneaky play if Hilton is out as he could end up being that number three.

Sammy Watkins $10,200 NE @ BUF: Not a massive bargain buy but the difference in the coverage he will face compared to last week is light and day. The Patriots coverage was constantly undone by Brown and Watkins is a very talented player who could provide top 5 upside at top 20 price. A real intriguing option at a middling price for your flex/#2 receiver.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins  $8,500 TB @ NO: Now as I said above I am picking Gronk every time I can pick him in daily but this is where Fantasydraft.com ‘s use of the second flex spot comes into play. Tampa will need to stay with a decent New Orleans team and Jenkins has Winston’s trust after his big game last week. I always love the tight end of a rookie QB and this week is no different for me.

St. Louis $6,000 @ WSH: Not a bargain but the Rams are outside the top 5 defences but are my number one overall playing the Cousins led Redskins. The Rams tore through the Seahawks offensive line last week and they could wreak absolute havoc with the Redskins this week.
