NFL 2015: Fantasy Football IDP Top 9 Linebackers For Your Draft

justin houston

Things change.  But what remains constant is a good linebacker will win you your fantasy football IDP league.  So for your fantasy football draft here are nine linebackers you want to keep on your radar.

9. Justin Houston, Kansas City Chiefs:  2014 stats: 69 tackles and 22 sacks

Houston led the league last season with 22 sacks.  Don’t expect the same.  Houston is not happy with Kansas City offers.  So the question is will he play better to get out of town?  Either way 22 sacks is going to be hard to duplicate.

8. Paul Posluszny, Jacksonville Jaguars:  2014 stats: 69tackles and 2 sacks

The Jaguars aren’t very good.  True.  But Posluszny is very good.  His stat line is for playing in only seven games last season.  If he can remain healthy this season look for his tackling total to double.

7. Anthony Barr, Minnesota Vikings: 2014 stats: 70 tackles and 4 sacks

Was on the field for every down last season.  In Zimmer we trust.  And now that the offense is coming together the defense should spend less time on the field.  A rested Barr can only be good for your fantasy stat line.

6. Jelani Jenkins, Miami Dolphins: 2014 stats: 110 tackles and 3.5 sacks

You know what they say, Ndkumoung Suh makes those around him better.  That speaks good for your fantasy team.  How much better can Jenkins be?

5. Keenan Robinson, Washington:  2014 stats: 109 tackles and 1.5 sacks with 1 interception

Has taken over from London Fletcher as the linebacker in Washington you need.  His stat line is good, not Fletcher good but good.

4. Bobby Wagner, Seattle Seahawks: 2014 stats: 104 tackles and 2 sacks

Very good linebacker on a very good defense.  Wagner is consistently good.

3. C.J. Mosley, Baltimore Ravens: 2014 stats: 133 tackles and 3 sacks with 2 interceptions

Those are rookie numbers people.  Even though he was beaten out for Defensive Rookie of the Year, it was a good year for defensive rookies.  Their second year looks just as promising.

2. Khalil Mack, Oakland Raiders: 2014 stats: 76 tackles and 4 sacks

The only question is will Jack Del Rio screw him?  Look for Mack to increase his sack total this year.

1. Luke Kuechly, Carolina Panthers:  2014 stats: 153 tackles and 3 sacks with 1 interception

When does he rest? Never, ever he plays every down.  He is oh so good.
