Daily Fantasy Basketball Playbook – 3/20

Dwyane Wade

What a beautiful first day of Spring today. The sun is out by me, it’s a Friday, and there is a twelve game card for daily fantasy basketball. Not to mention we have this little thing called March Madness going on. What more could you ask for? Here are my plays for this evening. All of my prices are according to DraftKings. Good luck!

Point Guard

Russell Westbrook ($12,500) – It could honestly cost me $15,000 to put him in my lineup and chances are I would do it. No KD for an extended period of time means it’s still the Russell Westbrook show.

Damian Lillard ($7,600) – Lillard is my guy across the board tonight. I can still get a tier one caliber player while only paying for a low end tier two guy. On top of that, the Magic are not a good defensive team, well they’re not a good team period. Lillard should have a solid game, and should be one the locks for your lineup.

Langston Galloway ($4,800) – I know the Knicks are a dumpster fire, but the Sixers aren’t exactly taking the league by storm either. I can’t imagine why people would want to watch this game outside of DFS or torture. But Galloway has a nice matchup and a favorable price tag for GPP’s.

Shooting Guard

Dwayne Wade ($7,900) – Wade has been spitting hot fire lately. He’s scored over 25 points in seven straight games. With the Heat still trying to secure that last playoff spot, Wade has stepped up big time and looks like the DWade of years past. He may not explode like James Harden, but you know that wade is going to give you 35+ fantasy points.

Eric Gordon ($5,800) – With AD’s status uncertain for tonight, Gordon is worth a look if he is out again tonight. Gordon has quietly been a steady fantasy player this season. The Pels will need his scoring tonight to keep up with the Warriors. Look for him to get a lot of outside looks tonight, especially when Tyreke Evans drives into the lane.

Small Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($6,900) – The Greek Freak has been on a roll lately in DFS. He’s notched over 39 fantasy points in his last two games. Tonight he gets a Brooklyn team that simply doesn’t have the length to hang with him. Their isn’t much at the position tonight that I like, and he’s one of the few guys I’m confident in returning value.

Maurice Harkless ($4,000) – Mo is strictly a GPP for me tonight, and only if Tobias Harris is out again. He made the most of his opportunity on Wednesday scoring 35 fantasy points. With so many other guys I’d rather use at other positions, Harkless is someone I’m using to save some cash.

Power Forward

Tim Duncan ($6,800) – I am always weary about playing any Spur this time of year, but tonight it is hard to pass up on Mr. Fundamental. The Celtics are about to put an ad in the paper for any big man to just stand on the court, because they can’t keep anyone healthy. As long a TD gets about 30 minutes, and that seems to be about what Pop is playing him, he should have enough time to produce some solid fantasy numbers.

Draymond Green ($7,600) – Green is a guy that I continue to use until DraftKings adjusts his price tag. The Pels are banged up all over their backcourt, and he is someone that can easily post a triple-double every time he is on the court. I’m expecting a big night from Green if he gets the minutes like I think he will.

Kevin Love ($7,300) – Love is a must play for me if LeBron is out tonight. I still like Love if LeBron plays, but his value takes a hit. As long as he gets at least 30 minutes, he should be a safe play that will get you at least 30 fantasy points.

Center

Steven Adams ($) – No Enes Kanter tonight means Adams will be playing a huge chunk of minutes tonight as long as he can stay out of foul trouble. No much of a risk either and a good chance to hit value.

Hassan Whiteside ($7,600) – I know Whiteside has fallen off some since his big hot streak, but not enough to where I still wouldn’t pay up for him. The Nuggets are a bad team and rank in the bottom half in the league at defending his position. Whiteside should be grabbing board left and right tonight, so that’s why I don’t mind spending the extra cash tonight.
