NXT Results and Review 2/25/15

wwe-network-nxt-arrival

Each week I give the results of the NXT weekly show as well as my thoughts and opinions on everything NXT.

Hideo Itami vs. Bull Dempsey

Winner: Hideo Itami

My Thoughts: This Match had a great old school feel to it much of it due to the character and style of Bull Dempsey. Hideo Itami is arguably one of the top stars in NXT.

After the match he is superkicked by Tyler Breeze. Itami recovers and attacks Breeze. The selfie stick that Breeze carries around is just too awesome and fits his character very well as well as mixing in pop culture.

They then play an pretty awesome video package fbr Brian Kendrick who is in the main event.

The Lucha Dragons vs. Tye Dillinger/Jason Jordan

Entrance is interrupted with a quick promo from Solomon Crow.

Winner:The Lucha Dragons

My Thoughts: Not very good. Started off like a cool squash match but then Jason Jordan just left the ring because he wasn’t tagged in. That seems pretty stupid to me story wise. Usually you do something like that after a team has had problems for a while.

Fin Balor interview. nothing new or crazy

In ring promo with Tye Dillinger. Interrupted by Baron Corbin

Tye Dillinger vs. Baron Corbin

Winner: Baron Corbin

My Thoughts: SQUASH MATCH! I like how they are trying to still book Corbin to look strong, but there is just something missing to me in his character that I can’t place. Hope he can develope.

Charlotte short interview/Tyler Breeze promo on Hideo Itami

Bayley vs. Becky Lynch

Winner: Becky Lynch

My Thoughts: Pretty good match. Its amazing how much better the womens division is in NXT than the Divas in WWE

Rhyno backstage interview. Kind of awkward interview. I feel like he was reading off of a screen the whole time not looking at the camera while he talked.

Finn Balor vs Brian kendrick

Winner: Finn Balor

My Thoughts: Balor entrance is a bit strange to me when he isn’t wearing the body paint and whatnot. The commentary stuff with Kevin Owens was great. Cool to see Brian Kendrick come back. Good match and Finn Balor continues to look like a future WWE superstar.

After the match Kevin Owens comes out and throws riley over the announce table to send a message to Balor.

Overall Thoughts:
Another solid show!  I continue to be drawn in by NXT style of product. They tell plenty of stories and have a ton of great wrestling action with talented superstars all within just one hour. I would even venture to say NXT is worth the price of the WWE Network alone!
