Daily Fantasy NBA Playbook: 02/11

Damian Lillard

As we approach All-Star weekend it’s time to find some potential daily fantasy All-Stars tonight. As always for my articles, my player prices come from FanDuel. There are 12 games tonight, let’s see what we can come up with.

Guards:

Damian Lillard – $8,900

It’s the Blazers versus the Lakers tonight, with the Lakers boasting one of the worst defensive backcourts. That’s going to be great for Lillard owners tonight. The last time Lillard faced of against the Lakers? Scored 34 points, 7 assists and shot over 50% from the field. The time before that? Scored 39 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and shot over 50% again. I’m not saying he’s a “lock” but the Blazer should once again take advantage of this match up.

Kyle Korver – $5,000

The Celtics have struggled defending the 3-point line this year and here comes Korver. He’s been a pretty safe play this year for owners, contributing to multiple categories on a nightly basis and of course his valuable perimeter shooting. For 5k tonight, Korver has a pretty high “floor”. In this match up, I also like Marcus Smart but thought Korver was the safer play compared to the offensively inconsistent rookie.

Forwards:

Chris Bosh – $7,900

Going up against his former teammate tonight, you know that Lebron James guy. He has two 30+ point games in the past four and is fresh off a 32-point game against the Knicks. Look for a motivated Bosh to put up big numbers again tonight.

David Lee – $5,500

This is my reach for tonight but I think it’ll pay off. Draymond Green is out tonight with an ankle sprain and Lee is in line for those minutes. Now the former Florida Gator hasn’t put up nice numbers this year due to inconsistent playing time and of course the bench role. Tonight he should produce, especially since the Warriors are against the Wolves.

Center:

Alexis Ajinca – $4,200

Just like why I’m playing Lee, Ajinca has a nice opportunity. With no Anthony Davis or Ryan Anderson tonight, say hi to Ajinca. At only $4,200 for a guy in line for big minutes tonight, it’s a low risk and high reward play. He’ll bring numbers in rebounding and blocked shots, would like to see the point total up a bit.
