Daily Fantasy Playbook – 02/04

Russell Westbrook

If you’re a college football fan then you would know today is National Signing Day. Many adult men are at work and freaking out over where these 17 and 18 year old boys will play in college for the next 3-4 years. Probably even on a forum spewing some fake rumor over a recruit, yes many do that. Meanwhile I’m in a coffee shop muttering to myself over Kevin Durant’s toe injury and fist pumping the air over the news of Victor Oladipo returning. Still not as bad but today is a pretty emotional day in my sports world.

Guards:

Tony Parker – $5,500

Since I only list five players and a couple other alternatives every week I try and not use the same players over and over. However, Parker has tremendous value tonight at that price as he goes against a very weak Orlando defense. Parker has had a bit of a rough season but I fully expect him to bounce back after having the All Star break to figure it out.

Russell Westbrook – $11,000

Just take my money FanDuel. Whenever Westbrook is playing and Kevin Durant is out, magical things happen. With Durant once again doubtful for tonight against the Pelicans, Westbrook should once again put up some gaudy numbers.

Forwards:

Chandler Parsons – $6,100

After returning from the flu, Parsons 18 points and 6 assists, with a bonus of 4 steals. Tonight he’s going against the Warriors, in what should be a shoot out. The dangerous shooter is healthy and ready to go.

Chris Bosh – $7,800

With no Dwayne Wade tonight, Bosh will be carrying the team again. Even with Luol Deng returning (who wouldn’t be a bad pick), Bosh is still by far the primary option and should put up very good numbers against the Timberwolves. Bosh is coming off a 34 point game, just last night.

Centers:

Hassan Whiteside – $7,400

Well, he hasn’t cooled down yet. He’s a double-double machine who is becoming a bigger part of the offense and continues to bring massive value in rebounds and blocks. So yes, I’m basically going with the Miami frontcourt tonight. Good match up with the Wolves, like previously said, and both players are on fire right now.
