Week 14 Quarterback Rankings, Highlighted by Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson

If you’d like to see a full list of our top thirty-five quarterbacks for Week 14, go ahead and scroll to the bottom of the page. But first, here are our quick takes on a few of those quarterbacks.

Well, look who it is. Russell Wilson rolls into Week 14’s rankings as our fourth-best quarterback option. He has an appetizing matchup against a weak Philadelphia secondary, and he’s proven that he can get fantasy points by hook or by crook. Even against a very tough San Francisco defense last week he found a way to piece together sixteen fantasy points. Start Wilson with confidence wherever you can this week.

Our 2QB writers here at FakePigskin are torn on how to rank Philip Rivers. Berger has him as a top-ten option, while Lake only ranks him sixteenth. How much would you worry about a bad offensive line and a tough New England defense, or are you starting him with confidence? For us, we’ll see which of us gets this game right.

Our other major disagreement this week focuses on Mark Sanchez against the Seahawks’ Legion of Boom. Will that defense slow down Philadelphia’s offense, or should you start Sanchez again this week? Lake says bench him (QB28), and Berger is willing to give him a shot (QB16). What say you?

Eli Manning. That’s right, we’ve got him at thirteenth. He’s playing Tennessee, the defense that Ryan Fitzpatrick just demolished. Eli still has a strong offense, and he’s throwing to Odell Beckham, Jr. We would have no concerns starting him as a QB2 this week.

Finally, Johnny Manziel, aka Johnny Football. At the time this article is written, the Browns haven’t officially named a starting quarterback. But if it’s Manziel, you know you’re going to be tempted to play him. His explosive running ability provides a nice boost to fantasy lineups. We’re ranking him at QB18, although he has a huge variance. He could start and finish the week as a top-ten QB, or he could finish with three points. Do you want to take that risk?
