Fantasy Football: Week 9 Rankings

Antonio Brown has been uncoverable all season. He is officially match-up proof

It is hard to believe it is Week 9 already as soon as tomorrow, but it is and with it comes the Week 9 Rankings. It feels like I just finished tweaking Week 8’s rankings a few hours ago, but alas it was long ago. I must do my best not to let the World Series Game 7 distract me (Go Royals!) as I try to piece together the positional rankings this week.

With this weeks Bye comes plenty of missing big names. Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, Julio Jones, Sammy Watkins, Matthew Stafford, Golden Tate and the already injured Calvin Johnson will all be on the bench (hopefully) for their fantasy owners this week.

So what do you do if you have a shallow bench, well you can use these here rankings to determine which waiver wire targets who may still be around, make a trade, or simply help make a tough start or sit decision. This is the point in the season where you may already be toast, or perhaps fighting from the middle of the pack to squeeze in to the playoffs. For some you may be coasting with a winning season, and not sweat this week if you have players on bye. I have that luxury in a few leagues, but not all of them.  Be sure to read posts from my fellow writers here at to help with some other insight. also does fantastic work, and has great tools to help with all of your lineup questions. Along with the Twitter machine, be sure to follow me and ask away. Anything at all and anytime and I will respond as soon as possible.

With so many studs on a bye, thankfully there are plenty of elite talents and tasty match-ups remaining to help everyone. Should we expect repeat performances from Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown? Very, very doubtful. However Brown has done nothing but remain consistent, and has to be in the top 5 receiver discussion. He is my number one receiver, as he was last week once again in Week 9.

Enough banter eh? Shall we get in to the rankings? Ok then…First though I am going to plug some Daily Fantasy Football, especially to those owners who are sunk, or feel there is nothing left to play for. THRERE IS!
