Chicago Bears’ Chris Conte has a great match up this week against the Jets, making him the ideal candidate for Defensive Back Streaming in week three, find out who else to start in your IDP League below. For more information on DB Streaming Strategy click here

Week 2 Summary:

Chris Harris, Denver, CB (v KC), 6 Tackles, 1 Tackle for Loss, 1 Pass Defensed

Chris Culliver, San Francisco, CB (v CHI), 5 tackles, 1 Pass Defensed

Charles Woodson, Oakland, S (v HOU), 7 Tackles, 1 Assist

D.J. Swearinger, Houston, S (@OAK),  3 Tackles, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Fumble Recovery

Week 3 Streaming Targets:

Chris Conte, Chicago, S (@NYJ)

Conte is playing a run first team, but Geno Smith is also an elusive runner himself, if he’s running up the middle or rolle out wide, both Chicago safeties have the chance to make tackles and even sacks if the Chicago secondary can keep the Jets WRs covered. What’s more, the Chicago linebackers have been lacking in the tackling department (just 18 tackles between the 3 starters over 2 games), and the effective use of Ivory could lead to many tackles being made in the secondary. I think Conte can put up some good number this week for sure.

Prediction: 7 tackles (5 solo), 0.5 Sack, 1 Pass Defensed, INT chance: 25%

Johnathan Joseph, Houston, CB (@NYG)

Eli Manning throws a tonne of picks, there’s no doubt about it. He’s already thrown 4 this season in 2 games and I don’t think he’ll manage more than one or two games without a pick this season. The Giants’ OL is poor, whilst the Texans DL is fierce, and Eli is going to have to have his running shoes on to escape pressure. This is where risky passes are thrown and Johnathan Joseph is going to be covering Eli’s #1 option. I think Joseph is a riskier play than Conte and whilst you can’t chase interceptions in fantasy, Eli is attempting 36 passes per game, so even if Joseph gets 0 picks, he will still have the chance for PDs and tackles.

Prediction: 4 tackles (4 solo), 1 Pass Defended, INT Chance 50%

Antrel Rolle, New York Giants S (v HOU)

Houston have run the ball 80 times so far this season, more than any other NFL team, throw in the Giants meagre LB group who have amassed just 17 tackles between them this season and you give safeties like Rolle the license to grab tackles here ther and everywhere. Add to that his coverage skills and Rolle could easily get into the top 50 this week at DB, he may be owned in your league but if he isn’t go grab him.

Prediction: 10 tackles (7 solo), INT Chance: 33%

Keenan Lewis, New Orleans CB (v MIN)

Matt Cassel is unlikely to remain the Vikings starter for long if he keeps throwing picks at this rate, but until he is I’m very happy to start opposing cornerbacks against him. He threw 4 against the Patriots, and it helped that Peterson was inactive and they were down early. I can see the Saints taking another early lead and pressure Cassel to win the game with the ball in the air, let’s watch it sails into Keenan Lewis’ hands.

Prediction: 5 tackles (4 solo), INT Rate: 50%

Good luck this week in your fantasy matchups, keep streaming!
