The NFL’s Week Three slate features a Super Bowl 48 rematch, inter-division battles and a possible 3-0 starts. The Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills headline my Week Three picks against the spread. Week Two was a marked improvement in my NFL picks against the spread. After a 3-2 week, I’m looking to keep the positive flow going in my week 3 picks against the spread. A positive Week Three and I will be in the green for my season total.

>Season Record 4-6
>Upset Alert 0-2

Carolina Panthers -3 vs the Pittsburgh Steelers

The Carolina Panthers are a really good team that was severely undervalued coming into the season. People focused on a hobbling Cam and a lack of talent a the skill positions. However the Panthers still have a phenomenal defense that is reminding people why they were a team that went to the playoffs last season. I love the Panthers this week at home. Cam played fine in week two and should look even stronger after a game under his belt. Panthers will cover this game easily.

Buffalo Bills -2.5 vs San Diego Chargers

I can’t believe I am picking the Buffalo Bills to go 3-0 but this is a tough spot for the San Diego Chargers. After an impressive win a week ago against the Seattle Seahawks, the Chargers are on the road for an early game. West Coast teams traveling east tend to not looks as impressive in the early window games. The Bills will control the ball and lean on their defense and win this game at home.

Chicago Bears +2.5 at New York Jets

The Chicago Bears climbed out of a massive hole a week ago. Conversely the New York Jets collapsed after having a big lead against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Jets have a strong defense especially against the rush, but the Bears have a dynamic offense combined with a defense that can make enough plays to win. The Bears will cover and win Sunday.

San Francisco 49ers -3 at Arizona Cardinals

The San Francisco 49ers remain a strong team that let a game slip away a week ago. The Arizona Cardinals return home 2-0 but have questions surrounding who will be under center on Sunday. I expect the 49ers to avoid the pitfalls that they fell into the past two weeks. They will stay strong with their game plan and play well against this division foe. I expect the 49ers to win pretty convincingly.

**Upset Alert**

Aaron Rogers and Jordy Nelson

Green Bay Packers +2 at Detroit Lions

The Packers and Lions are teams who two teams that showed more of who they are in Week 2. The Packers found their offense in the second half against the Jets, pulling out a win. The Lions struggled on offense against Carolina. While playing at home as been advantageous for Stafford and company, I think the Packers offense will win a shootout on the road. The over bet on this game is a smart play assuming it stays under 54 or 55.

Good luck the this weekend. Friendly reminder, my College picks against the spread comes out every Friday. Have games you like this week? Let me know. Always curious who everyone is on.
